  Okay Maguey has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Phoenix! I’ve been here multiple times now and have tried several different things on the menu. I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad bite of food. Everything is absolutely delicious. The queso with the green salsa is a MUST. I could seriously make a meal out of it. The margaritas are also fantastic, especially the coconut and the blackberry. Both are so good! What really makes Okay Maguey stand out, though, is the staff. Everyone is incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about the restaurant and want you to have a great experience. Amazing food, delicious margaritas, and genuinely wonderful people. There’s a reason we keep coming back. Highly recommend!

  Wow… what an incredible hidden gem! 🌮🍹 This place is absolutely pristine. From the open kitchen to the dining room and bar. Everything was spotless, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. The margaritas were fantastic, and the food was every bit as good. We’ve driven by this place hundreds of times, always meaning to stop in, and now I’m kicking myself for not trying it sooner. The bartender knew the menu inside and out and gave us outstanding recommendations for both food and drinks. Service like that really makes a difference. Thank you for such an excellent experience! The only thing that surprised us was there wasn’t a line out the door. This place deserves to be packed. We’ll definitely be back!

  Our waiter was fantastic and the restaurant although was incredibly hot is decorated very cute the food however was terrible.... we ordered all 3 tacos on the happy hour menu and the chicken enchiladas de mole. The chuleta taco was literally all fat, the tinga had absolutely no chipotle flavor it was just white boiled chicken and the pastor was almost equally as fatty as the chuleta. The mole was flavorful but the chicken inside the already dry enchilada was like eating strands of hay with absolutely zero flavor, the beans were in a dry little ball and the rice was inedible, it was so wet water was dripping off my fork and tasted like it was cooked in dirty water. We've tried this place 3x over the years with a progressively worse experience each time, I'm disappointed that we came again tonight.

  One of the best places in Phoenix to get authentic Mexican food. Great atmosphere and very friendly service. I had enchiladas mole, which had a wonderful depth of flavor hard to find outside of Mexico. My son got the Okay Maguey burrito, which said was excellent. We also enjoyed excellent Cadillac margaritas, which were delicious. Try it out you will not be disappointed if you like authentic Mexican food!!!
