Rice with curry gravy was also amazing, as were the fried plantain. Highly recommend. Splurge on a ginger beer to complete your experience. The proprietors were extremely friendly. I needed help finding something locally, and they showed me it was right down the street. I'm not in Phoenix often, but I'll be back here when I am.

I have lived in Arizona for over thirty-five years and I have witness the taste of both Trinidad and Jamaican cooking. There was a Jamaican man who own a restaurant on forty-eight street and Baseline road over thirty years ago but I found out that he may have been deported. His food was the best I have tasted since I left the East coast. Miss Martha's food has struck me as first/ second in rank when it comes to the authenticity of food Caribbean food in Arizona. Thank you Miss Martha for keeping up the roots of the Caribbean culture and bringing culture to me as a Trinidad man in this state.
