Ivan at Miel was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. His bartending and serving skills are top-tier, and you can tell he genuinely takes pride in what he does. Not only were the drinks perfectly crafted, but his knowledge of the menu was incredibly impressive, he gave great recommendations that made the whole experience even better.
What really stood out was his level of customer service. Ivan was attentive without being overbearing, friendly, and made sure everything was seamless throughout the entire visit. He created a welcoming, high-end experience that you don’t always find.
If you’re at Miel, definitely ask for Ivan, you won’t be disappointed.

I don’t understand the good reviews here, though looking into it a little I’m fairly certain most of the reviews aren’t real. This restaurant opened at the end of 2022 and has the highest number of Google reviews of any restaurant in Phoenix at 7.7k. Search by “most recent”, currently there’s almost 100 reviews in just the last 24hrs. This just isn’t realistic and I am fairly certain many if not most of these are fake.
For my review, If you’re on the fence choose somewhere else. Food is bland, drinks are better but not special. We tried carne asada, short rib, and enchiladas as well as guac and elote appetizers. Overall food was under seasoned and unremarkable. Service was poor as well, which I could have been fine with if the food was special, but just an all around poor experience. Along with this trying to find parking is a challenge for this location. For a similar menu try La Hacienda, similar choices with food and drinks both executed at a higher level. Or if you want a steakhouse there are dozens of options in Phoenix that outperform by a large margin. Miel de agave has chain restaurant food at steakhouse prices.
Don’t let the 5 star reviews fool you, they are likely fake.

Food was excellent! We ordered pork belly and calamari for our appetizers. The calamari was the biggest calamari I had ever had and served with probably the best guacamole I've ever had in my life. Very impressed with it. For our entrees we ordered the green chili enchiladas and arrabbiata di Chipotle and it had a bit of spice. Both meals were fabulous and we were extremely happy with our choices. Then for dessert we ordered the churros and they were BY FAR, the BEST churros we had ever had. I cannot rave enough about how good those churros were. I regretted not getting some to go, to take home with us as well! 10/10 for food. Our server was only subpar and barely came to our table, only coming by giving us a thumbs up once in a while and continued walking. Overall, the food was wonderful and we will be coming back on our next visit to Phoenix!

Okay…idk what’s going on here, but I feel like everyone is being pranked. I’m not sure how I had an experience like this when the overall rating is 4.8 with almost 8K reviews. Anyway…went here for my 30th, and the food was so bad, I was shocked. I’ll start with the good: the birria tacos, they come with an insane amount of meat.
However, they charge $8 for chips and salsa and the chips were half empty and stale, and the salsa is quite literally just a tomato sauce from a jar. I asked for less stale chips and we got some so at least that was better. The truffle fries came out almost completely raw, we couldn’t eat them.
Our waitress said they got a new chef, so maybe these problems will go away, but we didn’t order a second entree because we weren’t confident it’d be worth the price based on our appetizers, thank gosh we didn’t.
Luckily, they refunded us the fries and chips and salsa, which was very nice of them, but then they tried to charge us for 2 extra drinks that weren’t even duplicates of our drinks which made the bill even more expensive than it would’ve been with the 2 removed food items. Appetizer pictured has a large hair on it, didn’t even address that because we just didn’t like the appetizer to begin with, which isn’t the restaurant’s fault.
The atmosphere feels very off. The walls are painted like a fake wood, meals are rolled out on dirty carts you’d see in a school, and the share plates are actually chargers. Oh well, never again. At least the drinks were good.

Miel de Agave delivers an outstanding dining experience. From the moment we arrived, the service by Jorge was attentive, professional, and on par with some of the best restaurants in the Valley.
We started with the calamari appetizer, and it was excellent—lightly fried to a crisp golden finish without being greasy, and most importantly, perfectly tender rather than chewy or tough. A great start to the meal.
For our entrées, we ordered the Surf & Turf and the Halibut Steak with béchamel sauce and vegetables. Both dishes featured generous portions, were beautifully presented, and were absolutely delicious. The halibut was expertly prepared and complemented nicely by the rich béchamel and fresh vegetables, while the Surf & Turf was hearty, flavorful, and cooked just right.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. Between the exceptional food, top-notch service, and attractive presentation, Miel de Agave earns five stars across the board.
The only downside—and it's a significant one—is parking. Being located in downtown Phoenix means dealing with limited parking options, expensive parking fees, and a less-than-pleasant walk to and from the restaurant. While this isn't the restaurant's fault, it definitely impacts the overall experience.
Overall: 5 stars for food, service, and atmosphere. Zero stars for parking. Despite the parking challenges, Miel de Agave is absolutely worth the visit and is a restaurant I would happily recommend. NOTE: be sure to make recommendations as our time slot was exactly perfect. When we left we noticed a long waiting list of folks who likely didn't have reservations.
