I stopped by Fair Trade Cafe for breakfast and ordered a café au lait and the Chorizo Croissant. The coffee itself was delicious, but my experience with the order was a little disappointing. When I ordered, I wasn’t asked whether I wanted it hot or iced, so I assumed it might come iced or that they would ask. It turned out to be hot. I asked if it could be made iced, and the staff kindly said yes. I wasn’t expecting them to remake the drink, but I did expect it to be transferred to a cold cup after adding ice. Instead, they poured out some of the coffee and simply added ice to the original hot cup. It wasn’t a huge issue, but it wasn’t quite the experience I had expected. The Chorizo Croissant was good—solid, but not something I’d go out of my way for. The chorizo still had a bit of a porky flavor, which caught me by surprise. I was also a little surprised that the sandwich was made with only half of a croissant. That said, the café itself has a wonderful atmosphere. The interior is modern, cozy, and very inviting. I got my order to go this time, but I’d definitely like to come back with my laptop and work here for a few hours. The air conditioning was set at a very comfortable temperature, and the staff were friendly throughout my visit. I visited around 9–10 a.m., and there was still plenty of street parking available in the surrounding neighborhood. I’m not sure if that’s the case during busier hours. Overall, I’d come back for the atmosphere and coffee, and I’d love to spend more time enjoying the space next time.

Stopped by this coffee shop and had a great experience! The food was delicious, the matcha was smooth and flavorful, and the customer service was excellent. Everyone was welcoming and friendly.

Eww.... If I didn't know I was in downtown Phoenix I'd swear I was in Scottsdale....this place is oozing plastic upscale Scottsdale vibes. The baristas were nice, but the tea they gave me was watery. I wanted to ask for a different drink but I couldn't stay another minute because the smell of cheap generic entitled male cologne (the same one they all wear) was so strong I'd swear they were pumping it through the vents and it was giving me a headache. The 16-year old Christian girls next to me were talking about why it was a bad idea to have a water birth.... I was about to throw up. Obviously that part is nothing to do with the business itself but it just added to the ick. That's the kind of energy lurking here. This place is probably great for IG influencers and fake people without any life behind their eyes. Not a fan. Sorry!

I had a terrible experience. Yesterday was the third time I’ve visited this café, and not once have I been treated well. They urgently need to do something with the attitude of their staff because their customer service is terrible. Yesterday, I literally left the café crying because of the way I was treated when I asked for recommendations. Even though the coffee is very good, I’ve been treated with disrespect every time. When I tried to ask the cashier a question in Spanish, she looked at me with contempt, and her facial expression throughout the interaction was extremely rude. I’ve been helped by two different employees on separate visits, and both of them provided awful customer service. I hope management takes this seriously and improves the customer experience.

i decided to stop by and try the matcha here, and highly disappointed. the service was horrible, waited over 30 minutes just for my order to be skipped and forgotten. i asked the only girl at the register about my order and insisted my name was not asked for and that i never received a receipt she replied "your order is just going to be called" with an attitude. then i proceeded to ask a second time and she almost gave me someone else's order but i refused and asked if she could just make me another. definitely won't be going back not because of the matcha but because of the ugly service. didn't get her name but it's the girl with braces.
