They were out of chicken and he didn’t replace it but kept going around

- LKLauren KleinertAug 11, 20261.0I visited this Chipotle location tonight around 10:00 PM to order a burrito. Even though this location is scheduled to be open until 11:00 PM, the staff was already aggressively shutting down the line in a way that completely compromised food safety. While I was waiting, an employee was cleaning out one of the empty rectangular food trays on the line with a rag. She then proceeded to spray a chemical disinfectant (it looked like Purell surface spray) directly into the empty tray. This was done while open trays of rice and meats were sitting DIRECTLY adjacent to it on either side, completely uncovered and ready to be served to customers. Spraying chemical mist directly next to open, ready-to-eat food is a major health code violation and causes an immediate risk of chemical cross-contamination. It is incredibly dangerous to prioritize closing up early over the basic health and safety of your paying customers. I walked out without ordering and am considering reporting this specific incident to the local health department. Management needs to immediately retrain this night shift crew on proper food safety and sanitation protocols.
