  This location has continued to go downhill which is disappointing as it is a convenient location. When items are on sale they continue to be “out of stock” yet other grocery stores have items in stock that are on sale. It’s like you must be the “early bird” to get the worm, or, they lack the ability to restock items or lack the ability to properly order inventory when they know it’s going to be a sale item. On today’s visit, it was going to be a “middle of the road review” aka 3 stars, that is, up until the point there was an interaction with staff. Multiple times throughout the store today not a single staff member said Hi or asked if we needed help, other than what appeared to be the manager. Mind you, we passed him throughout the store several times earlier with no words, but then once, yes, just once he asked how we were doing. But the icing on the cake was when we went to self check out. While cashing out, we noticed an item that was on clearance didn’t ring up correct. We called the female attendant over to notify her of this. She quickly replied, yes, it rang up 50% off. The item was $9.99, but the tag showed a price of $2.50 and it was to be 75% off not 50%. I explained that to her and she looked at me like I was an idiot. Not a word out of her mouth, she took the item and walked away, again, not saying a single word. We stood there as we watched her walk to the clearance aisle where the item was from and ponder at the price ticket. Upon checking the price, and stopping to help other customers, she came back, reduced the price to the advertised price, and yet again, didn’t say a word. Really? I truly hope corporate knows how this location is ran. They are undergoing a remodel right now, so I hope they are also remodeling their inventory, ordering, stocking and customer service. I understand my review won’t stop people from coming, but this level of dissatisfaction should be known. For now, I know who is not looking for business.

  Stopped into the Rancho Vistoso Safeway with my 7-year-old to try and get him some pokemon from the vending machine. The machine was unsurprisingly down for maintenance, but my little one was a bit disappointed nonetheless. The Customer Service Manager, Marco, stopped us on the way out and came racing back with a small treat for my kiddo - an extra pack of pokemon and a sticker! It made my kid’s week, and was such a great reminder of what it feels like to have a “hometown grocer” who cares about the people in the community beyond the dollars they spend. Way to go, Marco! We’re Safeway regulars and continue to be for a reason!

  During the current remodel they have taken away at least 8 handicap parking spaces which is going to make it even more difficult to find a parking spot since before the remodel/change all handicap parking spots were often taken. You have a lot of elderly living around here especially with Sun City just down the road. This decision wasn't well thought out.

  The Grocery store is fine but the web site is absolutely the worst, Check out Fry's check out Bashas..they both are user friendly and work, Safeway's does NOT!
