This is the type of greed they talk about in the Bible.
Our sonic experience today was terrible. We used the app and ordered our food, including fries with honey mustard as my dipping sauce. At the last minute, as we were checking out, I switched my medium fry to a large so I could share with my partner.
When we got the food, I noticed that my honey mustard wasn't in the bag and our fries were mostly empty. My partner went inside to ask for my sauces and about the fries. He came back to the car empty-handed and said the manager told him that corporate wouldn't allow us dipping sauces without paying for them because they didn't appear on the order (I'm not sure if they disappeared because I changed to a large fry before checking out). But he said that the manager also claimed corporate told her to cut everyone's fry orders in half. So why did I pay for a large?
I went to talk to the manager and she was so rude. I told her that the fries come with free dipping sauces and that we had spent $18 and given them a tip, so I didn't understand why she was telling us I had to pay for the sauce just because it didn't show up on the app order. She was so hostile and kept saying that corporate wouldn't let her give me one free dipping sauce and that she wasn't going to break rules for me.
So, this is either the worst case of corporate greed I've ever seen or a manager who's so spiteful that she'd rather lose customers than give out a single honey mustard.
This is such a goofy thing, but I refuse to let this go on principle. No one deserves to spend their hard-earned money on a comfort meal only to have a bad experience because a manager is so unkind.
I really hope that manager has the day she deserves.
Update: I reached out to corporate and no one responded. so, I'm guessing the manager was right and corporate supports this kind of behavior and culture.

This Sonic location is horrible, they are very rude and don’t care about what they serve. My cheddar peppers were unusually small, caved in, and some did not have peppers in them. I asked them to make me another normal batch, the manager stormed out of the Sonic mad to tell me this is how the cheddar peppers come. This is also the only location that won’t give you ranch with your cheddar peppers, they charge 50 cents each for them. This location has lost my business for good. The Sonic should get zero stars.

I had a really frustrating experience and won't be going back until they fix both the app and their customer service.
I ordered lunch for myself and my kids using the app and redeemed a $1.49 reward. The app removed the reward from my account, so it clearly showed it had been used, but it never showed up on my receipt.
I showed the manager my phone and explained exactly what happened. Instead of just fixing a $1.49 issue, she told me I had to order even more food to qualify for the reward. I had literally just spent money on lunch for my family. The app not syncing isn't my fault, and I shouldn't have to spend more money because their system didn't work.
The most disappointing part was the lack of common sense and customer service. This was an obvious app glitch, and it could have been resolved in less than a minute. Instead, I left feeling ripped off over $1.49.
It's crazy to me that a business would lose a loyal customer over something so small. A little understanding and good customer service would have gone a long way. Until they fix the app and empower their managers to actually help customers, I'll be taking my business somewhere else.

When you pay $6.50 for a chilly dog they should at least cover the whole hot dog and bun. Things are tight lately and it feels like their stealing when they short change you!
I hope you guys can read their response. It's one of the most disgenian replies. How are they going to know it's me (if I go back) lowered my score from 4 to 3 because of the reply
