The sign for floral says to go to customer service if no one is there. No one was at customer service, so I asked the self checkout lady if she could help me find someone to blow up balloons. She snarled and said “I don’t have anyone to help with floral. Maybe produce. “ So I waited in floral for a few minutes, multiple employees passed by, no one asked if I needed assistance. I left the store without making a purchase. Very unpleasant customer service.

I used to love going here for fresh fruit platters, vegetables, yogurt parfaits, etc. I've used the self-checkout several times before without any problem The last time I was at this store, I asked for help using the self-checkout to purchase a gift card for a birthday party. The staff treated me like I was a thief and asked to see an ID in order to make the purchase. The tone in which they asked was rude and accusatory. I was with another person who also picked up on the strange questioning and rude tone. I've never had to show an ID to purchase a gift card before in any store. The guy was an older man with white hair and a very large stomach. The interaction made me feel on edge and like I was being discriminated against. Since this interaction, I've chosen to go to the Safeway on chaparral and Scottsdale road. Much better customer service and no strange ID checks.
