  Ok - I honestly wasn't expecting much considering all of the mediocre "Hawaiian" restaurants there are in the calley these days. I asked ro taste the mac salad - if you know, you know. That sets the whole tone. Was so much like the islands - best mac salad ive had in the valley. I got the char siu chicken plate (was super excited that this was on the menu). I do wish the portions were the slightest bit bigger to match the other plate lunches in town. But, the interaction with the staff, the feel of a local island shop, and the ono grinds was worth the 25 minute drive. Recommend!

  LOCAL ATMOSPHERE, friendly, welcoming. Feel of ALOHA when you walk in the door. Greeted with island style and the food is AAAAAMAZING. Super Loco Moco when you feeding 2-3 people. It’s a huge plate and tastes like home. A lot of option and weekly surprises. Guava Babyback Ribs ONO BRO! Poke so fresh, you think you was on da beach! Broke da mout. If you know, you know. Monday for Spam Musubi, and sweet treats and they even support and offer local vendor lemonades! A lot to take in but we will FOR SURE be coming back again and again.

  This is one of the best spots in the valley! The food is amazing. I had the Pacific Rim Combo and everything was top tier. This is some of the most robust kalbi I have ever had. The cuts are thick, the marinade is super flavorful, the sauce is immaculate, and the portions are hefty. The teriyaki beef and char siu chicken are killers as well! Everything was infused with a deep smoky flavor that added depth but not bitterness; They know how to use a grill around here!! DO NOT SKIP DESSERT!! There are many treats from local producers, things you can’t find anywhere else…everything is so good I could cry… Service is welcoming and friendly as soon as you enter! The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and just a great vibe. The culture behind this place is authentic and you can feel it in every part of the business. All at a more than affordable price! 10/10 no notes!!

  My husband surprised me today for lunch and took me to Pacific Rim & Bento in Mesa. The food was absolutely amazing, with rich, authentic island flavors in every bite. You can truly taste the love and care that goes into each dish. One of the highlights of our visit was getting to meet the chef and his family. Their warmth and hospitality made the experience even more special. It’s clear they’re passionate about sharing their culture through incredible food. We’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend giving this place a try if you’re craving delicious, homemade island cuisine!

  We’re from the Big Island of Hawaii and have been living in Arizona for 6 years. This is the first time we found a place that has the taste of home. The poke and poi was unbelievable, but so was everything else we had. From the Hawaiian plate that came with Mac salad and ono lomi, to the kalbi plate that had unreal flavor, and the deep fried musubi. Even the haupia was so good. We will definitely be back as often as we can. I think what made the food even more special was the people there. They have the true Aloha spirit, not the mainland kine! Thank you for the wonderful experience.
