The staff there are extremely unhelpful, and apparently the cake decorator is “never in the store” according to the employees working in that department. I waited over 15 minutes just to get assistance, only to be told they couldn’t help me in the end. Complete waste of time and very frustrating experience.

- ADAngel DiazMay 1, 20261.0I have lived in Laveen for 10 years, within those 10 years of going to this Safeway the store was OK, now it is one of the "worst" run managed stores in Phoenix. The Deli is always closed early, the store is understaffed, the Deli doesn't offer fresh made sandwiches as the other stores, produce never stocked, same with meats, long lines at the register, what happened to "3's" a crowd. This store has just gone downhill. It's all in the management, whatever managers were hired should be let go or retrained. Stores that I have been to that are always up and running at 100% clean and efficient Safeway 7th St McDowell Safeway 32nd St Camelback Safeway 16th St Southern This store has sadly turned into the Fry's right across the corner. Sad one has to drive miles away from their neighborhood grocer because the store isn't up to it's own standards!

Sometimes they have great deals on many items in the store which are always a great deal for sure. Store is clean, well stocked, and help is helpful. Location is perfect with easy access from street area. I think its a good place to shop from meat to fruit , to dairy.

First, I had been searching for a can of diced tomatoes with garlic and couldn’t find it. Maurice noticed, asked what I was looking for, and without me even asking, found the item and brought it to me while I was standing in the checkout line. Then in the parking lot, I had an issue where a 12-pack of soda broke open from the bottom of my cart and cans rolled everywhere. Maurice saw what happened from inside the store, ran out to help me, and even brought me a replacement. I was so overwhelmed in that moment, and his kindness truly made a difference. This level of customer service is rare and deeply appreciated. Because of Maurice, I will absolutely continue shopping here. Safeway is lucky to have him!
