Really disappointing first (and last) experience here. The fries were the most basic frozen crinkle fries, and the cheese sauce was canned. I was looking forward to trying the beef & cheddar croissant, but I could smell that the beef was off before it even got to my lips. Not spoiled, but old. It had that old gamey smell & taste of beef that's sat too long, or reheated over multiple days. It reminded me of wet dog. I had to slather the sandwich in BBQ sauce and quickly choke it down. We won't be back.

The food here is all quite good. Dining area kept very clean & staff in this area always present & busy. The only problem is the PA system is so darn loud. Not the music playing, but the order announcements. It's annoying enough if you are dining alone, but if you are there with someone & want to visit, you might as well forget it. It's impossible.

I went there with my mom, my great aunt who is 99, two of my four boys, and myself. My mom forgot to take the onions off of my great aunt's hot dog. My great aunt couldn't eat it because it would make her sick. I went up and I asked if I bring the hot dog that had onions on it would they make my great aunt another plain hot dog with no onions. The young man I spoke with who was behind the counter went over asked the manager and came right he came right back to me and said he's making it for her right now. They didn't ask for the other hot dog back and it was just so nice just to see people caring about people and the different situations. I appreciate it my great aunt loves going there to eat. Thank you for making her time enjoyable!

Went to Arrowhead Portillo's for the first time recently. It is easily the nicest fast food restaurant that I have been in. Decor is 60's, rock n roll, bright colorful and spotless. Music playing gives it that "good old days" vibe. It is impressive for a place built on Chicago Dogs and Italian Beef! Looked over the menu and landed on a Beef sandwich and Chicago Dogs order #2, with fries. The Beef sandwich was built on a French roll style bun and held a good amount of cut beef with both sweet and hot peppers. The hot peppers are "zingy", not jalapeño hot, but tasty. The Chicago dogs were also on a custom bun built to hold everything. The dogs had that "Snap" from a better hot dog casing and loaded with all you would expect. Fries were nicely fried, not burnt or soggy, onion rings too. The highlight was the small beer selection which most people could find something they like. The best surprise came at the last with employee Gerald ( a really good guy) who gave us a tour at the desserts and the stack of ready to buy chocolate cakes. We took home a piece of lemon cake built with extra frosting! and a strawberry shortcake that was well loaded with all the necessary ingredients. Really enjoyed the food, time and Gerald and will be back. I recommend you try it.
