Congrats, Pei Wei, for being TOTALLY unprepared when your computer goes down. You made your 5 employees look completely stupid and overwhelmed because they wer not allowed to serve any meals, even if we paid with cash. It seems to me that you should allow them to make command decisions and serve something up because green cash and happy customers are important. Heck, you could have even authorized free meals for the good will.

The service at this location was fast and friendly. If you know your Pei Wei dishes, you should find it satisfying. If you're a vegetarian or diabetic, a few watch-outs for the Pei Wei menu. I hadn't been to a Pei Wei in years. I found the menu different than I remember. There was a large menu board that you can stand right next to. Being older and not being able to see as well as I used to, this was helpful. I chose one of the lower calorie dishes marked with a V for the vegetarian option. The 2 you see next to the dish indicates 2 servings. If you eat the whole entree, you'll easily consume over 1000 calories. The person that took our order was friendly and our food was ready in minutes. It was a Saturday night around 6 p.m. There was maybe one group of people dining in with to-go orders going out. There was no line. We placed a to-go order with lettuce wraps, bourbon chicken with noodles, and vegetarian teriyaki with brown rice. The rest of the family enjoyed their dishes. However, I was disappointed with about 6 pieces of tofu, and small amount of veggies. There were a few pieces of broccoli, red peppers, carrots and scallions, and a large amount of rice. There was a lot of sauce which also smothered the brown rice. This may have been great for some, but the sauce was high in sugar. I could feel my glucose levels spiking after just a few bites. There was also a piece of beef in my dish. I called and Achilles addressed the issues promptly. She was very nice and patient in answering my questions. She confirmed that their teriyaki sauce is made with a sweeter flavor. I later read that Pei Wei uses a lower sodium soy sauce, but their recipes don't seem to consider the sugar levels. You could ask for less sauce. Achilles said I could also request all tofu, which would have about 11 pieces. The tofu & veg alternative, has 5-6 tofu pieces plus the veggies. Since the menu is defined by Pei Wei, the location could help their customers by asking if they want less sauce to cut down the sugar. They might also put enough sauce just for the entree. I don't like my rice to be covered in sauce too, and the pictures don't portray the rice that way. Of course, greater care is needed in not having cross contamination between the vegetarian and meat dishes. I appreciate that Achilles was very communicative and tried to address all my concerns. My family liked their dishes, I was disappointed in mine but had a good customer service experience.

My husband had pork egg rolls. Not much of a taste. I had some chicken dumplings. They didn't have much taste either. I was disappointed they no longer service chicken wings.

Just stopped for dinner and they had chairs on the tables and looked like they were closed even though they were supposed to be open until 9:30!
