Amazing food and excellent service! Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Ruth was our server and she was so kind, attentive, and welcoming throughout the entire experience. She made sure we had everything we needed and truly went above and beyond. Great customer service like hers makes all the difference. Highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back!

Julia served us today and for our first visit she was an absolute joy and served us with a smile. The environment was lively and welcoming. Overall it was a great experience and would definitely recommend as a great breakfast spot and to bring the family.

Overall - MEH...ordered takeout on Saturday evening.
Negatives -
1. Address on website is wrong.
It's actually 5120 W Peoria Ave (that way the GPS takes you to the Northside of Peoria Ave. The address 5121 W Peoria takes you across the street to Big O Tires)
2. The specific flavor profile of this restaurant is most common in Southern Mexico - its NOT for everyone (do you like the following spices/chiles? - cumin, salt, chile guajillo, chile pasilla, chile ancho, chipotle peppers)
3. My little one ordered pozole...meh disappointing. (The seasonings/chile profiles reminded us more of a mole than a pozole broth)
4. I ordered carne asada tacos...it was mostly nerves and fat (aka the lowest quality cuts of beef)
Postives -
1. Tortillas appear to be made from scratch. 2. My husband's pambazo was tasty, salsa on the side was very spicy, likely a habanero chile. (just like he likes it.)
3. Place looks decent on the inside - aztec/mayan vibes.

This was my first visit. Las aguas frescas were frescaing. Made from scratch and quenched every thirst I had! Ordered the milanesa for myself and chilaquiles for my wife. Man o man were both of the dishes delicious. It is very difficult finding a place that serves authentic Mexican food. You can tell that the red and green sauce for the chilaquiles was made in house. The milanesa took me back to my childhood when my mom used to make it. The chorizo gravy was π€π»π€π»π€π». If youβre looking for a brunch spot this is it. Ruthβs service was great. She was very attentive and easy to talk to. Thank you for the great service. Again the food was DELICIOUS!!! We will definitely be back with an even bigger appetite. πππ
