    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the breathtaking ambiance. Every detail of the restaurant was thoughtfully designed, including the restrooms, which had a beautiful rustic vibe and are absolutely perfect for anyone who loves taking selfies. We started our evening with the lobster tempura appetizer—something I had never tried before—and it was incredible. Crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For my entrée, I ordered the octopus, and oh my God... it was hands down the best octopus I've ever had in my life. It was cooked to perfection, incredibly tender, and packed with flavor. Every single bite was pure bliss. To finish the night, we ordered the flan. My spouse normally hates flan and never eats it, but this one completely changed his mind. As someone of Latin descent who has enjoyed flan my entire life, I can honestly say this was one of the best I've ever had. The texture, richness, consistency, and flavor were simply outstanding. The drinks, the presentation of the dishes, the table settings—everything felt unique, inviting, and elevated. However, what made our date night even better than the amazing food was our waitress, ASH, She was professional, friendly, down-to-earth, and every recommendation she made was spot on. Her service truly elevated our entire experience. We're also thrilled to hear they're opening a new location closer to us in Downtown Phoenix. We cannot wait to return and experience it all over again. Highly recommend!

    Don’t go! Live music was loud and terrible. Menu was very confused; steaks, sushi, pasta, burgers, ???? We ordered two different kinds of tacos and they were both pretty bad. Guacamole was ok but for $18 it wasn’t worth it. Then, during dinner, I cut my hand on the underside of the table and had to ask for a bandaid for the blood and was not offered any compensation or sorry. We asked for the check, and noticed that we were charged for a drink we ordered but never got because they were allegedly mixing the ingredients (whiskey, honey, and ginger) as well as the drink my husband ordered instead of the cocktail they were “making”. We were also charged an extra $2 because we asked for more tortilla shells (which they have instead of chips) to go with our guacamole. We asked to speak to the general manager, to vent about all the frustrating things that had happened, and the guy that showed up at our table was the same yahoo that we asked for the bandaid and never apologized! Not a surprise, when my husband told him that we were disappointed with the way some things had gone down, adding that we didn’t want anything for free because we had already paid, the manager stood there staring and still never attempted to apologize or say anything at all. Very disappointing for a date night that we don’t get very often.

    My husband and I are probably the type of guests every restaurant either loves or dreads—we come in before the dinner rush, nurse our drinks, take our time, and can occupy a table for quite a while before we even let our server put in our appetizer order. Despite that, Yuri made us feel completely welcome from start to finish. We enjoyed a three-course meal with additional sides, and Yuri was exceptional. She truly knows how to sell a menu, and that’s exactly what I look for in a great restaurant. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and helped guide us through an outstanding dining experience. What impressed me even more was the teamwork. This location was fully staffed on a Friday night, and every member of the team seemed genuinely invested in making sure guests had everything they needed. That’s how we ended up meeting Josh, Staci, and several other team members throughout the evening. Every time we looked up, someone was checking in, refilling drinks, clearing plates, or making sure everything was perfect. You can tell the servers here support one another and work together to create an exceptional experience. I’ve traveled extensively for business and have dined all across the country. Great food is important, but great service is what people remember. This restaurant delivered both. We spent the first half of the evening laughing, enjoying incredible food, and having a wonderful time. As the night went on, the atmosphere shifted into something even more special and romantic with a pianist who also sang beautifully. Yuri, thank you for your outstanding service. Josh, thank you for stopping by our table throughout the evening. And thank you to the entire team for creating such a memorable experience. Phenomenal food, phenomenal service, and an atmosphere that made us want to stay all night. We’ll absolutely be back.

    Overall a 5 star experience for a night out with the wife! Christine was AMAZING as a server. She had a problem table next to us with a gentleman and his wife that were beyond needy, and we watched her handle it with class and efficiency. She was on top of her stuff for sure. The atmosphere is pretty cool -- laid back with an upscale vibe. There was a live singer there with a beautful voice. I'm usually not fond of live music in a restaurant, but it was a nice touch. The food was very good. We had the bone marrow and scallop appetizer, as well as the burrata and prosciutto with grilled peaches as an appetizer. They were both very good! I ordered the Grilled Octopus and my wife had the Polanco Pasta for the mains. Now for why the food got 4 stars. The food was delicious, HOWEVER, the pasta came with a thin NY steak which we assumed would be sliced and incorporated into the pasta. It was laid on top, as a whole steak, and despite it being ordered medium, it was well done and had no char marks on it whatsoever, maintaining almost a pale grey color. It was tasteless and my wife eventually took it out of the pasta and put it aside as it was not very good, nor did it appeal to the eyes. The pasta, however, was amazing and had great flavor! As for my dish, the octopus came with fingerling potatoes. While the octopus was very good, the potatoes were bland and had very little seasoning. I was disappointed in the potatoes, as I make those quite frequently and they always turn out good. They need some seasoning or atleast some finishing salt!! We ordered a Dubai brownie with pastachio cream and pastachio ice cream, which blew my socks off! I am not a dessert guy but WOW, it was incredible!! Overall it was a good experience and a nice night out. I'm not a food critic and don't want to trash any business in this tough environment, especially for the type of service we received, but despite those two slight disappointments, the dinner was fantastic! I'd love to come back and try other dishes!

    The Truly Bougie Dining club headed to Origen and it did not disappoint. I had been there last year so I was a bit reluctant, however, and I am so happy to say they have hit it out of the park. I am so happy we chose your beautiful restaurant. For starters we were seated as soon as we checked in for our 6:30 reservation. We sat in a cozy area near the front. The ambiance was very pleasant. The table was set with beautiful plates and also big big Reidel wine goblets. Our server was amazing. Jamie made sure she gave us plenty of time to get settled and returned a few times to get everyone's drink selections and we didn't feel rushed. I ordered the Hibiscus Mezcalita, my friend ordered the December 2nd. Both were amazing craft cocktails. They were so good she ordered a second one and I ordered a Cucumber Spicy Mezcalita. Again very good. The rest of our group had beers, a few Old Fashions and an Aperol Spritz. All very good. (After dinner we were able to meet the mixologist behind the bar. He was so passionate about his craft and detailed his efforts and length it takes to make each of their signature drinks. It's very obvious he loves what he does and I should add he is the only one who creates these wonderful flavors, mostly for consistency for the rest of the bar staff. Super impressive.) Now to the even better stuff. Food was amazing. I ordered the Sonoran tacos. They were very tasty. The meat was tender. I used both sauces and the cream which is delivered to the table prior to dinner. My friend ordered tacos de Filet with the bone marrow. She was so happy with her selection. The manager Carlos actually had made his way to our table and when our food arrived he offered a hand. My friend wasn't sure about what to do with the bone marrow. Carlos stepped in and using a small spoon, spooned the bone marrow over the tacos for an added flavor. She was impressed as was the rest of our group. My other girlfriend ordered the Angus skirt steak. Unfortunately she thought her steak was a little chewy. Finally the men in our group opted for the 12oz ribeye, and the Cowboy bone-in Ribeye. Again they said the meat had great flavor, seasoned great, a great cut of meat, and zero left on their plate. They even substituted French fries for my husband which was a nice touch. Throughout the night Jamie checked on us, Carlos the manager checked on us, and we also had another gentleman come and ask us if our dinner was going good. I absolutely appreciated it. We were all so happy which made our dinner much more enjoyable knowing we were being treated with much so much care. We ended the night with dessert. We ordered a flan, a cheesecake made out of canela crackers, and a cake of some sort. All were delicious and were shared with the table. To top things off we were given a tour of this magical one of a kind restaurant. We were led to more intimate places throughout for bigger parties and celebrations. They also have a wine room filled with great wine selection. Definitely did not expect the different possibilities to entertain bigger parties. I am so happy to have returned to Origen. Thanks for a great night.
