  My wife and I were visiting the Cottonwood/Clarkdale area and wanted a good pizza and cocktail for dinner. There are not really a lot of pizza choices that match those criteria in the area. We saw info on Verde Ranch Grill and thought we would give them a try. This is a newer venue (open less than a year as of this writing) and still appears to be an unfound gem. We arrived on a Wednesday, shortly before 6 p.m. (in time for Happy Hour before it ended!) and there were only a few people in the place. The restaurant was clean and well laid out, with ample room between tables and a variety of seating options. We were greeted promptly and seated in a good location. Our waiter was polite and helped us navigate the drink menu and identify the ½ price drink specials available. My wife selected a Peach Mule and said it was outstanding. I ordered an Old Fashioned and it was as good as any I’ve had. We then selected the Double Barrel Pepperoni pizza. It was brought to our table steaming hot, loaded with melted cheese and ample sauce. We did notice the quite a bit of grease on the platter (see photos), but to me, that is a sign of real pepperoni. The pepperoni was also quite spicy, but very flavorful. The crust was good, not thin, not thick, but just right. The sauce was also very tasty and just the right amount. As I looked around, I saw several people enjoying other selections from the menu. The burgers looked ample and well presented. Everyone seemed happy with their choices. I will say this place is a bit off the main drag, but well worth the extra couple minutes to get there. Everything was priced fairly for the quantity and quality of the fare presented. Certainly a venue worth trying out when in the Cottonwood area.

  When are party of two arrived there were two other tables in the establishment that were occupied . Server status promptly and gave us menus and then disappeared. Came back seven minutes later to get our drink. And food order, stating it would be about ten minutes before our food arrived. Fifteen minutes later, we did not have drinks nor any food , we left the premises at that point. Ir is really sad when you have a server who can't even get drinks out in a timely fashion. I don't think I'll be going back to this location anytime in the near future.

  We just had a wonderful lunch at the Verde Ranch Grill. The food was delicious and the cobbler dessert with Madagascar vanilla ice cream was exquisite. The chef Delano came out to ensure our satisfaction and Brandon, our server, also enhanced the positive experience. Kudos to them and Verde Ranch Grill.

  Absolutely loved this place and will definitely be coming back the next time we’re in town! You can really tell the owners take a lot of pride in what they do. The food was delicious, the quality was amazing, and the portions were incredibly generous. We especially enjoyed happy hour, which had a great selection and was such a good value. Everything we tried was so good, and you can tell there’s a lot of care that goes into the food and the experience. Definitely worth a visit!

  I'm just a Chicagoan, who is staying in Cottonwood, AZ for a few days, with my older sister. First night in town, it was getting late and we were hungry. Through an online search we stumbled upon the Verde Ranch Grill Restaurant. I'll start off with if night has fallen, when you attempt to visit the restaurant, make that immediate left turn onto Village Drive at the convenience store off of the 260. I could not see the street sign, so I missed my turn and ended up going a small distance into the blackness of night, before comfortably turning around. I was able to park directly in front. It was too dark outside for me to tell if ample parking is available. Once we actually arrived inside the restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised with the bright modern appeal. In my opinion this restaurant has a mixed vibe, to suit different classes of diners. Large flat screen televisions were affixed to a couple of walls, showing a variety of sports channels. Their outdoor space seems like a bistro for entertainment. The main dining space has high and low tables, suitable for larger parties. It's a really cool restaurant to dine in esthetically. Let me move on to the exceptional service! We walked into the restaurant about 20-30 minutes before closing. We asked if we were too late to order and to dine in. We were assured we were not. My sister and I were allowed to order whatever we wanted from the menu. At no time did we feel rushed or ignored. Our server BRANDON was a jewel! For my appetizer I totally enjoyed some Cauliflower Wings. For my entree I enjoyed the fresh Barramundi fish (sea bass) with Cowboy Beans and White Cheddar Mashed Potatoes. Everything was so delicious and flavorful! Hats off to the chef. I would definitely dine here again for the total experience. Upon leaving the restaurant, I learned the restaurant has only been open a few months. If they stay the course of offering exceptional service, great food and good vibes, this restaurant will be open and busy for many years to come.
