  I was skeptical by the recent reviews, but it was good and flavorful. Customer service was good and the food came out in a timely manner.

  I had a somewhat disappointing experience with Pei Wei’s customer service. Before placing my order, I called specifically to ask about ordering two kids’ meals because I wanted to avoid any confusion. I was given one answer over the phone, so I placed my order based on that information. I also gave the employee my name during the call and requested extra vegetables, including broccoli, on my order. When my husband arrived to pick up the food, the entire story changed. Instead of honoring what I had been told on the phone, the employee acted as if we were trying to get free food, which was frustrating and unprofessional. That’s exactly why I called ahead; to prevent a misunderstanding. When I went inside to resolve the issue and simply get the vegetables on the side I had requested, I learned there may have been a disconnect between the online ordering system and what the restaurant actually receives. The employee explained that she never received my request for the additional vegetables, which may be why it appeared that I was asking for something for free. That was never the case. I placed my order through the website exactly as it allowed me to, and I relied on the information I was given when I called beforehand. If the app or website isn’t properly sending add-on requests to the restaurant, that’s something that needs to be addressed. Customers shouldn’t be made to feel as though they’re being dishonest because of a possible issue with the ordering system. I encourage management to review the website and ordering process to ensure customer requests are being transmitted correctly. Overall, this entire process; from placing the order, waiting for pickup, returning to resolve the issue, and finally getting everything corrected; took nearly an hour. That’s far longer than it should have for a simple takeout order. While I do appreciate that the manager apologized, there still seems to be a disconnect in communication between the website, the ordering system, and the staff. I hope Pei Wei takes steps to improve both its technology and customer service so future customers don’t have the same experience.

  The quality of food is terrible. The teriyaki chicken and noodles was tasteless. The fire cracker shrimp was tasteless very few shrimp. The vegetable spring rolls were tasteless and there were two very small packets of sauce vs 2 small cups of sauce . There were 2 small soy packets for two dinners . Overall the quality of food was terrible and will never go back. A friend warned me that the food quality had declined and she was right. I am not sure what has happened to Pei Wei but managements better step in our I can see a bad future for the restaurant.
