  Me and a friend came here in the evening through the drive-thru. We started driving off when my friend in the passenger seat ate a couple fries and realized that our order was wrong. We circled back around through the drive-thru and told them the situation. We were told to pull up to the last window. They asked us to have the bag back. A little shocked they’d ask for the food back, I explained we had touched the food in the bag. They insisted to have it back so that they “wouldn’t have to remake it.” Still shocked, I handed the bag over, expecting him to realize the food was in fact meddled with by us before we realized it wasn’t our order. But instead, what I assume to be a manager grabbed the bag and ran out to a car parked for a pickup order. We got our food finally but we genuinely cannot fathom the idea of taking a wrong order back let alone just because the workers don’t want to remake a single meal. A single, small, meal might I emphasize. It’s also worth mentioning me and my friend came straight from a graduation at ASU, meaning we had no time to wash our hands between being at the stadium and touching the stranger’s food. I am genuinely so mortified for that poor stranger. We were in so much shock that they would allow this violation we didn’t quite know what to do about it.

  This morning I visited the McDonald’s in Chandler (Restaurant #39488), and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The employee who was assisting customers appeared to be in a bad mood. Multiple customers were politely saying “good morning” and “thank you,” but she did not respond in a friendly or professional manner. It’s unfortunate because customer service is a big part of the experience, and being treated with indifference or a negative attitude really affects how you feel about coming back. I understand everyone can have a bad day, but when working in customer service, a basic level of courtesy should always be maintained. Sadly, this experience makes me not want to return to this location.
