**Food was decent, but the lack of clarity and service left a bad taste.**
My issue is with their thali policy. They do not have a physical menu; you view the menu on your phone. The wording on the website/menu about complimentary refills and leftover portions is confusing and unclear.
I completely understand restaurants wanting to prevent people from abusing complimentary refills. I am also fine if the thali is limited and there are no refills. But then why on earth would you not allow a customer to pack the remaining food they already paid for?
You can’t have it both ways: make the thali “limited” when it benefits the restaurant, but then refuse to pack leftovers when the customer doesn’t finish the food.
The manager or person in charge was also very lackluster and unhelpful, and seemed to assume I spoke his language instead of clearly explaining the policy. Either fix the wording on your website/menu or honor what it says.
Complimentary refills and leftover portions may… (see the picture)
Does it mean complimentary refills are available?
Does it mean leftover portions may be packed?
Does it mean refills and leftovers may be restricted?
Does it mean leftovers from refills cannot be packed, but original portions can?
The idli’s are best in the valley. We didn’t like the Bombay Masala Dosa bcoz it was too spicy for our taste. Also, being a newish restaurant we expected the staff to explain the dish to us so that we get our order right but that didn’t happen. Especially since Bombay Masala Dosa is not a common dish on the menu. Overall, definitely recommend and we will visit again!

Tried the Itlu Special Dosa and absolutely loved it. It was packed with delicious stuffing, full of flavor, and more than enough for a satisfying meal.
The highlight for me was the desserts. The Rasmalai Pastry and Honey Cake were both outstanding, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. You can really tell that the dessert chef puts a lot of care and skill into every dessert.
Great food, amazing desserts, and definitely a place I will visit again.

The food here is really good. One of the best Indian street food restaurants! The pani puri counter showed ingenuity!
I will recommend this place to every one.
The only reason why 4 stars is a small issue with vada pav. The vada in the dish was smaller than a grape and barely had any potato.
Otherwise all the other dishes were amazing. One dish I’d recommend is papdi chaat.
Guys really check this place out !

Wonderful place. Probably the best restaurant for South Indian Cuisine in the Phoenix area.
My 1st time here. Me & my friend tried Onion Pesarattu, Ragi Masala dosa, and Ghee Podi Idly (2 plates).
Onion Pesarattu was by far one of the tastiest. Hands down. The tomato chutney was incredible. The peanut chutney was also wonderful. The sambar was okay.
A good tip: all chutneys are "Jain" approved - no onions, no garlic etc.
To be fair, I still can't figure out how they made the chutneys to be so incredibly delicious!
Ragi Masala dosa was also very, very good. (We both liked Onion Pesarattu much more - go figure. I love Ragi dosa usually! :)
Ghee Podi Idly were good too. A *little* spicy for me - but then I have been eating less and less spicy food for many years. Again, the chutneys! Wow.
The ambiance is VERY nice. Tall ceilings (old warehouse clearly), very well lit, very open floor plan. Service was *excellent*! Got a.chance to talk to one of the owners. Family run business. They clearly take pride in food quality and service.
I hope.they open the planned North Phoenix branch soon (I know it will take some time - this one just opened 6 months ago it seems). That just means I will have to make the long drive when I crave really good South Indian Cuisine 😞
Oh, and I do hope they add a vegan dessert - at least one 😀
