- FSFree SamplesMar 28, 20261.0This Albertson’s literally almost poisoned me and my family. I bought some of their family packs of ground beef (the kind they grind in house). All of the packages were abnormally wet for ground beef. Opening the packages I was overwhelmed by the smell of bleach or similar cleaning agent. Careless butchers not properly cleaning and drying the meat grinder is a HUGE issue. I called the store and the guy at customer service basically laughed it off and said ‘well I dont know how that would happen’ I threw all the meat away and saved a small amount for proof and testing. I will 100% sue if this comes back as any cleaner used by the store. This is not funny and not a joke I am livid that this happened and will take it to news stations once I gather enough evidence.

For example, the sales tax on food items in Chandler is 1.50%. For ten different items costing 89¢, the tax per item should be 1.34¢, or 13¢ total. However, this store would charge 2¢ of tax per item, for a total tax of 20¢. This equates to an effective tax rate of 2.25%, or a 50% increase. This might not seem like much, but it adds up quickly!

I asked for some information and was treated like I should have known where the item was located, if I knew that I wouldn't have asked, most of the employees where in front talking and possibly work related but from what I heard it wasn't. But that's not my concern, just not happy with the brush off
