I want to give the biggest praise imaginable to Cora and Melody at Safeway Store #253 for going above and beyond to help me during a very stressful situation. Earlier this evening, I accidentally paid my $86 grocery bill with my debit card instead of my EBT card. I didn’t realize my mistake until after I got home, and panic immediately set in because that error would have left me with only about $10 in my bank account to survive on for the next three weeks. When I returned to the store and explained what had happened, Cora and Melody treated me with genuine kindness, patience, understanding, and professionalism. They worked together to correct the problem and completely turned my night around. What may have seemed like “just fixing a transaction” to some people, truly meant the world to me financially and emotionally. These two women demonstrated elite-level customer service, compassion, and humanity. In a world where so many people feel rushed or dismissed, Cora and Melody made me feel heard, respected, and cared about. Safeway should be incredibly proud to have employees like them representing their company. Thank you again, Cora and Melody. You helped me more than you probably realize, and I will never forget your kindness tonight.
