  ★★★★★ Had a wonderful experience at Blu DTR! The atmosphere was inviting, the service was friendly and attentive, and everything was presented with care. The food was flavorful and satisfying, making the whole visit enjoyable from start to finish. Definitely a great spot to visit, and I’d happily recommend Blu DTR to others!

  I wanted to share my experience from about a year ago, as this place comes highly recommended and I think it’s worth offering a balanced perspective. I made a reservation a week in advance for our anniversary dinner. We arrived early but ended up waiting about 45 minutes past our reservation time to be seated, and then another 30 minutes before anyone checked on us — it seemed like we had been overlooked, which was a little disheartening for a special occasion. By the time our food arrived we had been there nearly two and a half hours, and unfortunately the sushi rolls weren’t quite to my taste — they came with wasabi already applied, which was a bit overwhelming for me personally. I can see why many people love this place and I genuinely hope others have a wonderful experience here. For us though, the combination of timing and food preference means it probably isn’t the right fit for our future dining plans.

  Had a great lunch here with my wife. Really cool location, you can almost miss it but there’s a sign that says Sushi on the outside. I had the salmon poke bowl and my wife had the crunchy chicken salad with some garlic edamame. All really good, we’ll have to come back for sushi! UPDATE: my wife and I went for dinner a couple months after the first post and had a completely different experience. Based on some of the other reviews, maybe a common one. We had a server who maybe was the owner, possibly just higher ranking, but he was completely wasted by the end of our meal. Part of that might have been because the food took almost an hour and a half to get because he had forgotten to put in the food, which I suppose gave him more time to get more drunk. He was taking shots and sipping drinks with patrons after taking our order, decently busy but not packed night. As time goes on, we see other tables getting food that sat behind us… way behind us. Between some cheers, he finally sees us getting more aggravated and just says the food is coming with no apologies. I let him know how much we enjoyed our time here dining the first time and how disappointing this follow up was, and he couldn’t have cared less. The saving grace was the food was still good, but this experience had already soured the night.

  The rolls are unique and fantastic. Get there early because it’s a small, cozy spot.
