Cafe Bossa Nova occupies a unique niche in the Little Rock culinary scene, as a Brazilian restaurant. It's in the historic Hillcrest neighborhood, and is bright, cheerful, and airy, with interesting culinary selections. I know folks who love the pao de queijo, the cheese ball appetizers, so much that they regularly order these by the dozen to take home. Dishes feature ingredients like hearts of palm that you won't find so readily on menus in other places around the city. The desserts are scrumptious, especially the pudim de leite. This is a family-owned and family-run restaurant and deserves support for that reason. Parking can, unfortunately, be at a premium in the small shopping center in which Bossa Nova is located, since the rather limited parking lot is shared by several businesses. There are other nearby lots if you don't mind walking, and street parking (again, sometimes limited) which, again, may require you to walk a few steps to this colorful and pleasant little restaurant.
