  On my first few visits, I had some concerns mainly regarding the lack of interaction with staff. At first, this seemed rude and uncaring. It's a highly automated process. But I traded a few emails with the owner (Jason, if I remembered correctly) and he took time to explain the concept of this particular store. When I understood how the lack of significant human interaction led to better efficiency, I had my mind changed completely about this store. We order from this store 2-3 times a week, and the food is always freshly made, hot, and quick. When I understood the lack of much of the expected human interaction with the staff, I now love this model. Kudos to the owner for creating such a trendy, efficient restuarant with the consistently delicious Panera menu.

  A girl that looks to be in her twenties was working the drive through was rude as hell to me and my firmed she turned away and asked a question looked back and gave us a scowl repeating it. As well as when we asked to place two orders was rude again to us when she said the system was down and made another person talk to us. We could hear her screaming inside from the drive through. If you cannot provide service do not work in the service industry.

  We walked into the lobby and it had the strongest cigarette smell. It was so bad that we did not want to stay with our younger kids so ended up leaving before ordering.

  This Panera is a newer location on MLK near the college. It is a small cafe, set up more for to go orders and drive thru. I prefer the cozy large stores like the other Panera in Fayetteville that has booths and a fireplace and space for studying and group meet-ups but this one is good for stopping by for a quick lunch to go or drive thru bagels and coffee. Definitely download the app and use rewards for free treats and discounts. Staff is friendly both times I have been by in the drive thru and they usually have a good selection of baked goods and don't run out by mid afternoon like that other locations in town.
