Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Stopped at Whataburger for a late lunch while passing through on our road trip. The restaurant was very clean, and the staff was super friendly, attentive, and caring. I accidentally gave the wrong order, but the manager fixed it right away with no problem. Great customer service and such a pleasant stop on our trip! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

tldr: the restaurant was dirty, the food quality control was questionable, and we definitely didn't encounter the "friendliest" (as advertised by the sign) workers lol.
detailed review: this was our first time at a whataburger and we really should've picked a different location :( my husband and i ordered at the kiosk, it was a little harder to order on than ones that other restaurants have, but doable. once our food order was in, we moved on to finding a table. they were quite literally all dirty (despite only one other couple being in the restaurant), but we picked one and used a napkin to get the crumbs and grease off of it the best we could. we were prepared for a long wait, but our food came out in less than 10 minutes. the burger, chicken sandwich, and drinks were good, but the sides were where the issues really arose. the fry container was nowhere near full and the fries seemed like they could've cooked a little longer to actually get crisp, but they were warm and salty, so it was whatever. the onion rings were a different story, the container also wasn't full, but the real problem was that half the contents were burnt. my husband ended up going up and asking if they could remake them (nicely), and the worker started grilling him like the remake was gonna come out of his paycheck lol. we weren't trying to size up or keep the bad batch or get a refund, we just wanted a container that wasn't mostly burnt to a crisp if possible. they eventually did end up remaking them, which we were grateful for (and they turned out beautiful btw), but the whole situation was so much more dramatic than it needed to be. the workers were loudly making fun of a customer ordering in the drive-thru though, so i don't think it was personal. besides all that, the bathrooms were also really in need of a cleaning.

Food wasn’t bad but took a LONG time to get it. Lobby was practically empty yet we waited 10 minutes. If you’re in a hurry better off going to the McDonald’s next door.

We just got home from this location, come to find out, our burgers are wrong for the THIRD TIME, doing it on purpose at this point. We ordered the double meat cheeseburger with everything, single patty with everything, and the jr double with bacon… the single meat had nothing on it except mayo. So we call and talk to Kyle G. Apparently he’s the head manager. He proceeds to tell us we’re in the wrong, we don’t know what we’re talking about, cusses at us, and then hangs up. If you’re a “manager” why are you talking to your customers like this? Will definitely be taking this to corporate in the morning.

I was waiting for someone to do an exchange of goods from Facebook Marketplace. I ordered food and the new Peaches and Cream Shake. The Peaches and Cream Shake was soooo delicious!!! I should've gotten a large, but the small was portionably perfect.
I ended up going inside to wait, and I'm glad I did, because the air conditioning was exactly what I needed on such a hot evening. I also learned I made it to the Top 20 of NYC Next Runway Star Competition. Your team was cheerful, prompt, and attentive. The music was perfect, too!!! Atmosphere was clean and welcoming. I will be back!!!
