About

RestaurantAmerican RestaurantFine Dining Restaurant
Housed within a beautifully restored 1898 church in downtown Bentonville, The Preacher's Son offers Northwest Arkansas's most distinctive fine dining experience. Executive Chef Neal Gray brings his Michelin-star training from acclaimed kitchens including The French Laundry and Blue Hill at Stone Barns to create seasonal menus that celebrate local ingredients with refined technique. The historic sanctuary features soaring ceilings, George Dombek's magnificent stained glass windows, and 288 individually hung gold bells, creating an atmosphere that feels both reverent and celebratory. As the anchor of a three-level hospitality experience that includes speakeasy Undercroft and seasonal rooftop bar Celeste, The Preacher's Son represents the heart of Bentonville's culinary scene, where history and hospitality converge.

My family and I enjoyed our meals here. I do think the entrees were overpriced, but the ambience was nice, and as a bonus there is a very nice rooftop bar, as well as a basement speakeasy bar. Good experience.

We got to celebrate a recent U of A grad at dinner here, and it was perfect! It can be tough to get a table, but absolutely worth it. The food, service, and atmosphere (my favorite part) are all incredible. Highly recommend the mussels.

This is one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food is top-tier (the bolognese is a must-order!), but the wait staff is what really makes it special. They are incredibly on top of it and friendly. Having visited both with a group for a birthday and as a solo traveler, I can say they make you feel welcome regardless of your party size. On my solo trip, their recommendations and hospitality made me feel so included and at home. I’ll keep coming back to Bentonville from Colorado just for this spot!

“I had an absolutely incredible experience at The Preacher’s Son. The interior is breathtaking—an old church beautifully transformed into a dining space. Our server, Lindsay, was a standout—attentive, vibrant, and made us feel so welcome. And the food? Absolutely fantastic—every bite was a delight. I can’t recommend it enough!”

Went in on a Saturday night while visiting Bentonville, had a reservation and showed up right on time. People we were waiting in the small entrance area. We were told our table wasn’t ready, whilst they took walk in on their list. We were told to go upstairs to the rooftop to wait, no timeframe, just go away. Went upstairs and that was cool, it’s a rooftop bar, but cocktails were expensive, felt like a ploy to send you up for the pricier cocktails, we ordered, and then after 15 mins went back downstairs and everyone waiting had been seated including the walkins. Not to mention when we were sat we had the worst table in the room and the walk ins had a booth type seating away from the entrance. The food was good, but the service let it down. First impressions last and it didn’t feel great. We didn’t order any more drinks with dinner and ordered a salad and 2 mains. That was enough. We ordered the blackened salmon and the rigatoni. Both tasty, the salmon piece was a bit on the smaller side. It was a cool concept, but the vibe on the inside of the church felt bland and sterile, all white, no warmth or depth.
