- BFBruce FJun 29, 20263.0Belated Father’s Day meal at Johnny’s last week with our son home from college. We’ve been going to this restaurant since he was a toddler with frequency dictated by his changing tastes. We were overdue for a visit and since it was Dads choice, I picked Johnnys to scratch my itch for an eggplant parmigiana sub and that awesome Mediterranean salad. Place was not busy on a Wednesday night. Plenty of helpful staff. Salad was great. They ordered flatbread pizzas and I ordered my sub. They got their food and I waited on mine. When it finally arrived it was burned black on the bottom. Since I was last to be served, I ate what I could and didn’t make a fuss. My sub shouldn’t have left the kitchen. I guess they were too busy watching soccer to pay attention to the food. We won’t be returning. Plenty of other options for pizza shop food in town now.

After reading the reviews and the AI summary saying “reviews of Johnny Brusco’s are completely polarized”, we decided to try it and decide for ourselves. We ordered a Canadian bacon pizza and a calzone. I took my first bite of the pizza and could not believe what I just tasted! It was the most delicious, scrumptious pizza I’ve ever had! The sauce, the ooey gooey cheese, the crust with just the right amount of air bubbles - good golly! The calzone was just as amazing and the portions were extremely generous. We had great service, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the price was very reasonable! We will definitely go back!!

The pizza was not great but not the worst I've ever had. Price was ok. All in all, not great Great. Giving 3 stars for the kindness of the waitres.. Don't know how it made the top list of pizza places in bentonville.
