I put an order in through the mobile app to make things quick and easy, and it was just a cup of tea and a chocolate milkshake. Simple. It was roughly 3:30 when I pulled up to the drive-through, and I was surprised at how many cars there were considering the time of day, but thought I would be through quickly anyway because it was Chick-fil-A. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Not only were they taking the orders painfully slow, they had people sitting at the window for extended periods of time. It would have been significantly more efficient to ask those customers to park and have their food brought out to keep the line moving. I waited behind a van at the window for more than 5 minutes, and I thought surely it was just a massive order and that was why it was taking so long. No, it was drinks. Maybe 5 drinks, that was it. I ended up waiting (because you can’t escape the drive-through once you’re in it) for nearly 20 minutes and was late getting a kid to a lesson because of it. The people working seemed overwhelmed and disorganized, but there were plenty there so it’s not like they were shorthanded. Despite my crazy wait, when I pulled up to the window, they STILL had not made the milkshake or the cup of tea. The service was bad enough it felt more like being at a poorly managed McDonald’s, which is pretty awful for Chick-fil-A standards. I don’t know if it’s a management issue, training disconnect, or just a really unfortunate series of hires, but after reading the other reviews here, clearly something is not working.

I have 300,000 reward points because I spend so much money with Chicfila ordering for myself friends and catering. Today I order for 3 of the guys that worked for me. The Cahaba Heights chicfila could not find the order. I texted the order number so my guys could show it to them. They made my 3 workers wait 30 minutes to get a simple order. I have always known that the Southside Chicfila was the worst one of anywhere I go. I have had a few problems with Cahaba Heights not cooking the food enough which is very dangerous. Of course again anything is better than the Southside chicfila. Whoever runs this chicfila needs to make sure they work a little bit with their people or their process to correct these problems. I tried to leave a complaint on the App so as not to publicly talk about this but the app is horrible on trying to send a message about a problem. I know you guys are trying and I wish you the best. Thanks.
