Summary... VERY UNderwhelmed. So, PREP & SERVICE: Took 3 tries just to get silverware. 1. Not on the table 2. Asked after bread= nope. Ordered. 3. Salad out, (no dressing) another ask=nope. *Staring at raw vegetables. w. no fork. Me to the server after finally getting a fork "excuse me but there's no dressing on my salad". She looks (hard) "oh, there it is" Me: *staring at raw vegetables in a clear, see-through dish... ummm. Nope pretty sure I would see it.. somewhere. Her, "would you like some on the side?" *Yes.. thanks. FOOD /ENTREE: finished the salad.. and the bread, and a whole chapter in my book. (S. L. O. W.) okay, now we have food. aaaand someone dumped the salt shaker. medium steak= not medium. Shrimp= overcooked. Give up, get a box and paid $50 for a side salad and some bread. if all had been right it would still be more expensive than 2 similar restaurants with better atmosphere (crazy noisy) and food you can eat when you actually get silverware from a server without reality perception issues. **cherry on the cake: I Ieft a stack of waterlogged paper coasters that were on the table the whole time.... pretty sure they're still sitting there.

My wife and I went out for dinner at the Phenix City Outback Steakhouse, and it resulted in one of the worst service experiences I can ever recall. The kitchen cooked the food mostly fine (steak not medium well), but the front-of-house service was completely unprofessional from start to finish. Here is what went wrong: Lack of Professional Boundaries: Our server immediately discarded standard dining professionalism. She addressed us familiarly as if we were family or knew us, at one point like we were her parents and when it was time to take our order, she actually sat down in the booth with us. I don't care who you are or what background we share—a server should never slide into a booth with a paying couple having a private meal. Missing Essentials and Plastic Cutlery: We were seated at an unset table. When our food arrived, we had no silverware or cloth napkins. When we asked for cutlery, instead of bringing rolled silverware like every other table around us had, our server handed us plastic to-go utensil packets and small cocktail drink napkins. Basic Table Management Failed: I had to stop a busser to get standard rolled silverware. He only brought one roll, meaning my wife and I had to split a single cloth napkin between the two of us while looking at surrounding tables that were fully and properly set. Rushing the Table: While we were deliberately eating at our own pace, the server assumed we were done and announced she was bringing to-go boxes rather than asking if we wanted more time. Disappearing at the End: After boxing our food, she left us sitting at the table with three loose carryout containers and the bill paid, forcing us to wait an extended time just to get a bag to carry them out. I waited a year to try this new Phenix City location, and this experience fell far below the baseline standards of any sit-down establishment. I still paid my bill and tipped appropriately despite the poor treatment, but management needs to address front-of-house training and conduct immediately. In the future, we will take our business across the river to the Columbus location.

The waiter, Justin, was fantastic! However, the steak tonight was chewy and not tender. I’ve had plenty of visits to this location in PC, and have been pleased. However, tonight the food was mediocre. Also, I ordered the meal that included appetizer, main course, and dessert, and did not get my dessert option before I left. I waited but didn’t say anything to the waiter. Only flaw he had all night. He’s still a great waiter.

Awful experience! I am so embarrassed I took my guests here. Outback/Phenix City offers "call ahead seating" but on arrival at 12:30, you're told there are not enough servers and you will have to wait until servers show up to work. Once we finally got seated, we didn't have a server. Finally, orders were taken and the meals took so.long to arrive to the table. One meal was forgotten by the kitchen, and since we didn't see our server, I had to go to the kitchen to ask for my guest to receive her meal. So a further wait for my guests. The waitress had so many tables she had to cover that she did not revisit our table nor offer drink refills. I kindly stopped stopped her in the aisle and asked for my guests to have refills telling her I know she's so busy having to care for so many tables. She was sweet. The worst part of this dining experience is: the lettuce in the salads was wilted, the sirloin steak was not edible because it had so much gristle in it. That meant trying to eat it was too embarrassing so three of us who had steak stopped trying to chew it. What a total waste of $175 for our table of 5!! Never again will I waste my money here!
