Absolutely a must do! Military discount. We are locals and this is a place we will frequent. We arrived shortly before 5. We were promptly seated. Great sports screens abound. Our server, Lucy, was pleasant, informative and a true delight. People started pouring in by the time she took our drink orders. Several families with children of all ages and the normal dinner crowd. My wife says the chicken quesadilla is the best she has ever tasted. The blackened shrimp is equally delicious. The onion rings are super. The house salad came in a very large bowl. The Cajun Honey Muster dressing is a must try. Yes than can even do a top shelf lime margarita. They do not use a mix. The only draw back was they were so busy that any requests like more napkins etc , were taken as they passed by and the receipt of those requests were completed in like manner. All service other than the initial orders were conducted as they passed. This is a must do whether you are local or a visitor.

We just had the best dinner experience tonight! Our server, Marshall, was exceptional! He was kind, knowledgeable, and provided excellent, quick service. He helped suggest great menu items when asked, kept our drinks full without asking, and was really the best server you could ask for. He also kept us updated and informed when our food was coming out. We come to Orange beach every year and this is definitely our new restraunt, and server! We will be asking for him! The queso was good, the wings were great, the burger was a hit, the bacon mac amazing, my kid loved the sweet potato fries, my French dip poyboy had that good New Orleans bread, thin sliced roast beef, and yummy au jus. Literally everything we had was delicious. And I can't say enough good things about Marshall! It's next to Neighborhood Walmart, easy to get to, easy to park, overall great experience! 5 stars!

We have been to Old Salt several times and it never disappoints. We always sit at the bar , especially if Jill is working. She is the best! She remembers our drink orders even if it’s been a while since we’ve been in. She is funny and personable. She makes you feel like you are in an episode of Cheers. But not just us, she interacts with every person sitting at the bar to make them feel welcomed . Espresso martinis are awesome, as well as any food dish we have tried. My husband has celiac disease , and the menu had multiple things that he could eat, and Jill went back to the kitchen to reinforce to them safe gluten free handling to reduce cross contamination.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt like this needed to be mentioned. We started off having a great experience with Jill. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, and we were excited to find a new date-night spot. Unfortunately, as the night went on, the service noticeably declined. My husband and I both noticed a change in her behavior and attentiveness, and the smell of alcohol seemed stronger each time we interacted with her. I can’t say for certain what was going on, but it was enough to make us uncomfortable. I’m sharing this because I genuinely like this place and would love to come back. I just hope management is aware and addresses it if needed. - a concerned local

Great place to escape the heat and enjoy a beverage or great meal. Plenty of screens for sports, and live music Friday and Saturday nights. Our service was on point. The waitress was very attentive, drinks were full and food was received in a timely manner. Drinks ordered were a Jalapeño Margarita on the rocks and a Whiskey (type?) with Strawberry Puree. Nice beach vibe concoctions. The Calamari with lemon aioli and mango chili mojo was hot, fresh, crispy and tender. Delicious! The Club sandwich with house-made Tavern Fries, loaded with cajun turkey, shaved ham and smoked bacon on toasted sourdough, really hit the spot. This thing was HUGE! So good! The Fiesta Salad was a beast, and also very, very good! As if more was needed to complete this dish, it was served with a piping hot Croissant with Honey Glaze. OMG! ~Too bad those aren't separate menu items!~ Both plates could easily be shared. We'll definitely be back!!!
