Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
It’s the worst place to eat in the entire Montgomery area! The food is super expensive and definitely not worth the money. The burger was extremely salty, and the fries were soggy. They even charge you for water instead of soda!
The lady who took our order at the drive-thru was also very annoying. At first, she asked if we needed condiments, but we couldn’t understand what she said. When we got to the window and asked for ketchup and napkins, she responded rudely by saying, “You said you didn’t need condiments.” She could have been nicer and simply given us what we asked for. We also asked for ranch on the side, but she dismissed us by saying it was already included in the burger.

Out of the several times that I've gone to this Whataburger. I've had 3 to 4 occasions where my fries were oversalted and soggy. My drink didn't have any syrup, but it had the carbonation, and I've had to wait for at least 20 to 30 minutes in the long drive-through line. I never noticed anything wrong with my burgers, but the drinks and fries are where it's a hit or miss. The drive-through never opens up both lanes to take orders; and it always has one lane open. There must be some type of understaffed/undertrained situation going on because it leads to long periods of time waiting in the car ready for your meal just to drive out of the drive-through and take a little bite and drink out of your fries & drink and realize that both of them weren't served to the company's standards. You would assume that the food that you're served would be top-notch and exceptional for the company to think, "Our customer will be very happy and look forward to their meal." The order takers also seem to have some type of attitude towards the customers. But I would assume anybody would be reasonably upset if you had a long drive-through line. For the times that I've dined in; it's usually messy. What can you expect when you have a long line of customers waiting, the cleanliness of the lobby can't be maintained from time to time. But I guess life isn't peaches and cream. Overall, the burgers are pretty good. But double-check the moment you get your food.
