  As a regular at Happy Sushi, usually eating there at least once a week, the food and service are all 5 star plus. For the second time in about 2 weeks the atmosphere should get a negative 5 for the lack of Air Conditioning in this establishment. I have eaten there during the lunch hour and dinner hours this week. It’s cooler outside than inside, the staff somehow keeps a smile on their face, makes the experience excellent as always. Not sure if it is the leasee or lessor that’s responsible for this but they should be absolutely ashamed of the conditions these people are having to work in. For the kitchen staff, I can’t imagine how much hotter it is back there than in the dining area. It’s horrible to know how good the food is and to have to eat in those conditions. This definitely isn’t the first time the temperature/humidity has been an issue here. Someone recently put “duct tape” or insulation tape around the joints of duct work in the ceiling. The humidity causes condensation on the outside of the uninsulated duct work. The staff is continually wiping down tables from the condensation falling from the duct work. Tonight it had to have been 85 degrees with fans and a mini split unit running. I hope someone gets this fixed immediately and maybe they will fix it where it isn’t raining inside like it was last week on the left side of the restaurant. Some serious attention needs to be given to the HVAC, I’m sure if a city inspector or Health Department official walked in, there would be some major issues. I hope that wouldn’t hurt the incredible team of people that work in these horrid conditions. The manager/s at this location should be commended for keeping the doors open for customers and keeping their staff in the right mindset while working in adverse conditions. I heard at least 3/4 other tables asking about the temperature in the restaurant, the staff just stated there was an issue with the air conditioning and they were very apologetic about the conditions. I hope this gets better real soon, for the staff and customers alike. To whom ever is responsible, this should be repaired immediately and I hope that you see this post and it doesn’t go ignored.

  The Pork Tonkotsu Ramen and both sushi rolls we ordered were top notch!

  Gyoza was wonderful, came out on a little train, nice. Had the Tonkotsu Ramen insanely awesome base, now I left off the corn and sesame, personal preference, and omg what a wonderful Ramen it was. Would have had two if it was possible to fit that much food in my stomach.

  Very sad experience yesterday. Ordered a Togo order at the bar because they never answered the phone for a call in order. I understand busy and dinner rush. This was 7:30pm There was one server managing every sat table and all up front orders. There were two people in the kitchen. That was it. It seemed chaotic and crazy but they were handling it. I ordered a two tacos loaded fries and a Philly roll. I thought this place was a well oiled machine until I got home and my food was a disappointment. Tacos were majority rice one small very well done fried shrimp on each and barely any krab. Zero sauce on those or my loaded fries. They were dry fries topped with krab and crawfish. They are usually amazing. I was lucky to have my own sauces at home. Philly roll wouldn’t stick together and didn’t have any wasabi or ginger. I could tell this food was made in a hurry. I am disappointed that the staffing this evening ruined a supper I had been looking forward to all day. Happy sushi is usually my favorite. Please consider more staff or more care in the food even if it takes more time.
