Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

- CFCarlos M. Fernandez3 days ago5.0Having had a horrible experience with this chain a few years ago in El Paso, TX, I was a little hesitant to give them another try. However, I decided to give them a chance here in Alabama, and I’m glad I did! To my surprise, the restaurant was immaculately clean, pleasant, and welcoming, with fast and friendly service. My order was received correctly, and everything was hot and fresh, with just one minor concern. Although this is certainly not a forensically based observation, it seemed like my fries may have come from a mixed batch. Some were lukewarm while others seemed noticeably fresher. No big deal, though, the excellent service, cleanliness, and overall attitude of the staff more than made up for it. Based on what I observed, I’m confident they would have replaced them immediately if I had mentioned it. My patty melt was properly cooked and tasty. While the meal was somewhat pricey at $15.32, the cleanliness, service, and positive attitude of the employees made it worthwhile. A special shout-out to the counter person, Alexander B., for being so personable and friendly. I also want to recognize the rest of the staff, especially the line cook who actually walked around the lobby asking customers if their orders were correct. That was AWESOME! For all these reasons, I’m giving them 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thanks for turning what could have been another disappointing experience into a very pleasant one!
