The 1st time I came in here the workers were great. They were enthusiastic, welcoming, and gave great suggestions after I mentioned it was my 1st time trying the place out. So naturally I was excited to come back thinking it would be another great experience. WRONG! When I came in today different people were working not very friendly, nor greeting, or welcoming. I ordered the Bacon, Avocado, Tomato Egg White bagel and i specifically said NO tomato and on a plain bagel well they definitely did not follow directions & I was unable to eat my breakfast because I got my order to go. I could not go back because I had already made it into work. So this experience definitely was not as enjoyable as my 1st time but I'll still probably return because I love bagels

The lady at the register was very rude and short with us. I asked for iced coffee and she didn’t mention if I wanted anything in it. Just filled it up and put it on the counter and walked away. I ordered the bacon, avocado, tomatoe egg white sandwich and the bacon was raw and pulled up. I also asked for extra spread and they did not put that on there. The sandwiches were cold and what looked like thrown together. I don’t mind paying for good service and food but 30 dollars for this was not good. I love Brueggers but will not be back to this one.

The Asiago/Parm bagels we got might have been just a little under done, but that may have been to prevent over cooking the cheese? The cheese was done just right... Still tasty!

I’m writing this less as an angry customer and more as a fellow business owner who genuinely wants to see businesses succeed. This place has potential, but the current operation feels deeply and profoundly broken. The issues were not just one mistake or one employee having a bad morning. They felt systemic. The POS system allowed us to place an order for bagels that were apparently no longer available. After we completed the order, the team making the food communicated that they were out of everything bagels. No one proactively offered alternatives, so I asked what another bagel behind the counter was. They said it was whole wheat everything, and we clearly confirmed we would take those instead. The order still came out wrong. We received two sesame bagels and only one whole wheat everything, even after confirming the substitution at the register. There were other customers around us dealing with incorrect orders as well. The staff calling out peoples orders instead of by order number or name…. in a place that serves eggs and bagels- every order is nearly the same, so there was confusion on whose order was whose. Coffee orders were being forgotten. Several people had to walk back up and ask for drinks they had already paid for. Our hashbrown came out cold and had to be remade. Then there were the facility issues. There was a cockroach in the bathroom. The men’s bathroom door did not lock. The toilet flusher was broken. From an operator’s perspective, these are not small misses. They point to a lack of systems, training, accountability, inventory management, quality control, facility maintenance, and leadership oversight. …..that’s what concerns me most. A good bagel shop can survive a wrong order. It can survive a busy morning. It can survive a team member forgetting a coffee. But when EVERY part of the experience feels inadequate at the same time, that usually means the business is missing the structure needed to scale, or frankly, even sustain itself. I don’t say this to be cruel. I say it because this business feels like it could be turned around if ownership took the operation seriously. And I hate seeing lazy and uninvolved operators, which is quite apparent here. There needs to be a real reset here. Inventory needs to be tracked through POS. Staff need clearer roles and training. Orders should be called by an order number. Coffee needs one person owning it. Bathrooms need to be clean, functional, and pest free. Food needs to be served hot. And most importantly, leadership needs to install the systems and standards that make the customer experience consistent. Right now, this place feels like a business with potential but without the operational discipline to deliver on it. I hope the owner takes the feedback seriously, because there may still be an opportunity here. But it has a LONG way to go. Rating 2 stars instead of 1 because bagels were good.
