  We had about 30 minutes before we needed to be on our way and we were in and out on time. The chicken was very good. Not the double dredged crispy kind but certainly cooked perfectly. My wife had the vegetable plate and the fried okra was good. The collard greens seemed like they came from a 1 gallon can. The peach cobbler was good. Most things were like eating at someone else house where things are a little different than you're used to but not bad at all.

  They have a walk up window! The tenders were real chicken, they were solid. And the chicken sauce had a bit of extra twang compared to others, which was nice. But ngl it was pretty dang salty. The hot ham slapped, would recommend. Overall: 4 stars. Would come again. The menu is huge so I'd try something else.

  Dining Experience Food We always love to pop in for a meal when passing through town. Today, we enjoyed the daily special. My husband chose the fried pork chop (the special) served with French fries and an unsweetened tea. His dish arrived hot and fresh, a delightful reminder of the past, as finding a good fried pork chop can be quite a challenge to find! I opted for a vegetable plate featuring the specials of the day: chicken and dumplings, green lima beans, fried okra, and peach cobbler with a Diet Pepsi. The vegetables were perfectly seasoned, and the cobbler provided just the right amount of sweetness to finish off the meal. Unfortunately, our companions had already eaten some of their meal by the time we could take photos! Service We arrived just after noon and were seated right away, with our drink orders promptly fulfilled along with a bread basket containing rolls and cornbread. Our server offered excellent recommendations and delivered our meals quickly. She was always cheerful and attentive, promptly refilling our drinks whenever necessary. Atmosphere This restaurant offers a very casual vibe, with tables and booths arranged in a cozy space. The no-frills atmosphere allows for a high turnover rate, thanks to the quality and value they provide. They also maintain a clean restroom for guests in need. Price We spent a total of $53 for a party of five! This is an incredible value, as three guests enjoyed the daily special at $7.23 each, one guest ordered a menu item (hamburger and fries), and the fifth enjoyed the pork chop from the specials menu with fries. Every guest savored a soda or tea.

  The food is delicious. Atmosphere I added 3 stars only because we did a pick up. The pick up was a window out side of the restaurant. Didn’t mind that but there was a line for picking up food. It wasn’t a drive up window it was a walk up window. It’s cute. However the food and the sauce is great. It was our first time and I live a hour away and can’t wait to go back.
