Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
To be fair of this 1 star review this is usually one of my favorite locations during the day time. The young man at the drive thru window is always polite and respectful which is big when spending money. But last night I dropped in early around 12:30 am order 2 meals and waited till 2am. Myself along side others were frustrated at the wait time and when notified manager on duty it seem they went slower on purpose. If this situation is rectified I will delete.

I just left the restaurant, went thru the drive thru around 11pm for breakfast. I guess the crew was new. They took my order and asked if I wanted condiments. My order was missing the hash browns, and my 2 sausage and cheese taquitos were awful. The eggs were burnt hardly any cheese in it I didn't recieve the picante sauce , I couldn't even finish the meal

I recently had my car tires go flat and I got them fixed along with some other maintenance items. And I decided to treat myself to a good hamburger. When I arrived it was rush hour on a Friday evening. The store was busy but not overly crowded, thankfully. I got a number 3 whataburger because I was hungry and wanted to treat myself to a little part of the lone star state. The crew were welcoming and provide exquisite service which is to be commended.

I've been to this Whataburger a couple of times. All other times, it was quicker. For the three cars ahead of me after ordering waiting at the window to be served there was around an average of 15-20 minutes per customer waiting at the window. In total, from waiting in line to place my order to being served it took around an hour. I knew at about the 30 minute mark, something unusual had to be going on. When I finally arrived at the window, I was greeted by very professional workers. Amongst the two of them was a shift lead named Sanaa. Before proceeding to talk with Sanaa (because she asked me if I would like to be kept company as I waited on my food which I agreed to), the cook offered to cook me a new Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich since it had been cooked earlier than when I was estimated to arrive at the window. What a gentleman and a scholar he is for relaying the state of the sandwich as opposed to giving it to me without informing me it was rock hard only to find that out when I got home to eat it. Before the cook went to cook me a new sandwich, he and Sanaa offered me either a free cookie or Cinnamon bun. The cook asked me if I'd liked the cookie heated and I said yes so he did. That cookie was cooked just the way I liked it. After the cook went to cook a new sandwich for me, I proceeded to speak with Sanaa. She first gave me a sincere apology for my wait. I was curious what was going on so I asked and she so politely and professionally explained what the day has been like down to a t. Sometimes you go to restaurants and, if you ask why the service is the way it is, they will tell you it's none of your business. But this is a Whataburger where the associates genuinely care for the customers. What Sanaa told me honestly (as I can imagine being the case since our human resources of value are slim in the current economy) is that geting laoyal, punctually attendant, hard working people who want to work is hard. This day alone was hard for this Whataburger as many associates either A.) Didn't work on their days when they are expected to B.) Left work early for no good reason C.) No call no showed
I enjoyed every second talking to Sanaa. She showed a high appreciation for my patience. I'm coming back more frequently to this one just because of workers like Sanaa. I hope she gets a significant paycheck and I wish Whataburger would give her maternity leave. The fact that she is working in those conditions while having a child along the way is incredible. She is a superstar of an associate.

I'm am truly disappointed!!!! My order was made in the drive thru at 1:08pm yall told me to pull up in the parking spot and y'all would bring it out! The car in front of me pulled into a parking spot they got their food within 10 mins same as the other pulled up beside me on the other side. I WAITED 25 MORE MINUTES!! Went and checked at 1:36 pm the lady at the drive thru told me they were still cooking the meat and the Mgr was the only one back there. So I said ok. I went back to my car to wait. I went back in at this time is is 1:58 and I said this is unacceptable I want my refund at this point. She's perceived to tell me it'll be a minute because the manager is busy and ask whats the order name then she checks the bag and my bag is sitting there. I said okay now my food is cold now what they asked me did I want some fresh fries. This is the worst service!!
