I’m a little disappointed that I have to write such a horrible review. I would like to start off with the positive feedback before going into the negative. Customer service when walking into the establishment was good. We were greeted by the host and then seated. As time went past things declined. My husband and I waited for 10-15 mins as we watched other employees walking by not speaking nor asking if we wanted a beverage. The restaurant was empty so it puzzled my husband and I as to why weren’t we approached by a waiter or waitress. Unfortunately I won’t be able to give a food review because we never got to order. After almost 15 mins of waiting we decided to leave and take our funds elsewhere. I was so looking forward to this new experience. At this time I won’t be able to recommend anyone.

Brian was an excellent server from start to finish! He stayed on top of everything without being overbearing and kept our table perfectly taken care of the whole time. Our food came out quickly, was absolutely delicious, and the service was top tier. If y’all come here, look for the big guy with glasses and the flamboyant personality that’s the man you want serving you! Highly recommend asking for Brian!

Here's the deal. We enjoyed this place. The food was good. The staff was friendly. The place was clean. There was one thing that was strange. Soon after being seated, one of the staff brought us some churro donuts. We thought "Oh wow, complimentary donuts". Then, we find out at the end of the meal that we were charged $5 for them. Not a steep price, but here's the problem...we didn't order them. We didn't say anything because the people were friendly and they were good donuts. But how are you going to set food down on the table that no one ordered and then charge for it? What if we didn't eat them? Would you have still charged us? It was a baffling experience.

My son wanted to do something nice for me for Mother’s Day and took me out to eat here. Unfortunately, this turned into one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, it was obvious the front-of-house staff had no organization whatsoever. Some people were joining the waitlist online while others walked in, but there seemed to be no actual system for tracking who had been waiting the longest. We watched multiple groups who had just arrived get seated ahead of people who had already been waiting 30+ minutes, including us. At one point another staff member attempted to seat us, only for the hostess to stop them and say, “No, they can wait, these people have been waiting longer,” while gesturing to people who had literally just walked in and sat down. The kicker here? There were multiple empty tables, so I'm not sure what the delay was about. After finally being seated outside, we discovered the patio had a serious gnat problem. It then took another 15 minutes for our waitress to even take our drink order, and she walked away before we could order food. While waiting, a busboy dropped a wine glass on the dog-friendly patio and left shattered glass all over the ground. He never came back to clean it up. After sitting there for about 10 minutes with broken glass near people and dogs walking through the area, I had to notify staff myself before someone eventually swept it up. Meanwhile, the table behind us only received half of their order. They repeatedly asked for the missing items and were eventually told the kitchen would still make them and they’d just remove them from the bill but the customer refused the missing food at this point. Then the food came out anyway, was sent back, and staff still attempted to charge them for it. The drinks were also terrible. The lemonade tasted watered down, and the sweet tea was warm and barely sweetened. Once they were empty, they never got refilled. To top it off, the waitress repeatedly addressed me as “sir,” despite me very obviously not being a man, attempted to deliver other people’s food to our table multiple times, and after an hour and a half, we still had not received our order. Mother’s Day is understandably busy, but busy does not excuse complete disorganization, poor service, safety issues, and lack of basic attention to customers. I genuinely hate leaving negative reviews, especially on a holiday, but this experience was unacceptable from start to finish. Update- we never got our appetizer. I asked about it when our entrees were brought out. We didn't get them until 15 minutes after we finished eating and had already paid. It was doughnuts. Should have been a 4ct, but they brought 2. I asked about that and the waitress told me I was wrong. I asked for a box and she told me she'd send the manager to talk to me. After 10 more minutes, I still had no box and didn't see a manager. We walked out. Won't be back.

We were passing thru and the Metro diner had a waitlist so we decided to try Toasted Yolk. We were sat pretty quickly and our waiter came a bit later than expected not too bad. But basically after she got our orders we didnt see her again. We had to ask another server for additional water and our check. But we both ordered half salad half sandwich meals. My chicken salad sandwich was very good. The toast was well buttered but a little too crispy, which made it hard to bite. The chicken salad was great though, with just enough mayo and chicken ratio and a large portion. My half Greek salad was huge and could've been a meal by itself. Very tasty with fresh veggies and good Greek dressing. I normally get dressing on the side but this was not too much so I did regret not asking. My husband got the half Reuben and fried chicken salad. His Reuben was missing 1000 Island dressing, but he asked for light sauerkraut which he got. His salad was light on the chicken though. My Greek salad had tons of sliced chicken on it compared to his. Our service was slow and at the end the server made an inappropriate comment that rubbed us the wrong way. That's her "bad" not the restaurants though. The restaurant is bright, clean and orderly. I like the wall murals and seating. I assume there were some issues with the kitchen and this server but dont think it represents the restaurant as a whole
