It's not fair how they'll make you wait in line behind a car who has a big order. They should always make the person pull down if their order is not ready because it's not fair to people like you and I who has to wait and by the time we do get our food it's COLD!

The last three times I visited this location, I had to just leave and go to another source for my meal , even going to another Sonic location, the Homewood/ valley avenue location is in FACT a bad customer service location, so all the post I've heard are not lies. I've been enjoying Sonic before they arrive in Alabama while I traveled in Mississippi, the Homewood lactation should remove the sonic name, and or bring in a completely new staff to regain the customers trust, I'm now going to Gardendale to enjoy my Sonic.

I visited this location on June 23, 2026, between approximately 2:45 and 3:15 p.m. and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
I ordered a corn dog, fries, a Coke, and Cheddar Peppers. From the moment we placed our order in the drive-thru, the customer service was poor. The employee taking our order rushed us through the process and spoke to us in a way that felt disrespectful and condescending.
When we reached the window, our food was handed to us in a manner that felt careless and unwelcoming. After checking our bag, we noticed that the ranch dressing that normally comes with the Cheddar Peppers was missing. I politely asked if we could have the ranch that should have been included. The employee at the window ignored us while continuing a conversation with another employee. When she finally responded, she rudely informed us that it would cost 22 cents.
I handed her a quarter and told her to keep the change and simply give me the ranch. The entire interaction was unnecessarily unpleasant and left a bad impression.
I have always enjoyed Sonic and consider myself a frequent customer, but this experience was enough to make me reconsider returning to this location. Sadly, this is not the first time I have encountered an attitude problem here. I hope management addresses these customer service concerns and provides additional training to ensure future customers are treated with courtesy and respect.
