  Everything was simply wonderful! We had my husband’s 60th Birthday on Saturday, 16 May 2026 and everyone from 2 to 83 years of age were all talking about how much fun they had and how delicious the food was. My family and I wanted to simply thank everyone from the General Manager, Dalton Waterhouse to the Special Events Sales Team of Harry Leckemby Jr. & Michaela Jordan to our amazingly awesome Servers and other Dave & Buster’s Staff Members—you all made my husband’s birthday so extra special!! I would highly recommend this location for parties—large and small—you will have an amazing experience with an outstanding team, lots of fun, and very delicious food!

  Maci was an excellent server! It was very busy, but she was very attentive, checking on us frequently, refilling drinks as they were finished, and removing empty plates quickly so the table wasn’t cluttered. She was very polite and respectful! We had an elevated experience compared to the kind of service you would get at most restaurants, and the food was delicious! 10/10

Weekends can get crowded, so if you prefer a more relaxed experience, visiting during the week is a better option.   I recently visited Dave and Buster's in Hoover, AL, with my son and a few friends for a fun day out, but unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. After being seated, things quickly went downhill. Our waitress, Maci, seemed overwhelmed or perhaps just having a bad day. It took over 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and we had to flag her down to take our food order. When she finally did, she mixed up one of the kids' orders by adding fries to his boneless wings, then insisted on taking the wings back to remove the fries without any apology. To make matters worse, she didn’t bring fries for another child and appeared upset when we pointed out the error. Throughout our meal, Maci never checked in to see if everything was okay or offered any drink refills. When we asked for the bill, she still didn’t come back to our table. We had to correct her mistakes on the bill, and she didn’t explain the automated gratuity. When we requested separate receipts, she said it was too late to get them because she had already processed the payment. In this economic climate, one would expect at least a decent experience, but Maci’s attitude felt entitled and dismissive. Even after tipping well, the service left a sour taste, and it was disappointing to not even receive a simple "thank you" or goodbye. If we visit again, I certainly hope we aren't seated in her section.
