I wanted to share my experience at the McDonald’s in Pelham on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at around 4:15 PM, because I feel like the situation could have been handled a little better. The young African American man with locs working the drive thru took my cash payment. I was given my change, but I was not given my receipt. I asked for my receipt twice. The second time I asked, he didn’t acknowledge my request or let me know whether I could get the receipt. He simply told me to pull to the side into one of the waiting or pickup spaces. Because I paid with cash, having my receipt was especially important to me since it was my proof of the transaction. I had my little children in the car with me, so I didn’t have the time or ability to park, get everyone out, and go inside just to get a receipt. I really just needed my receipt handed to me at the window when I asked for it. I completely understand that fast food restaurants get busy, especially during the afternoon, and I’m not trying to make a huge issue out of something small. I just wish the interaction had been handled with a little more communication and consideration. Sometimes good customer service is as simple as acknowledging what a customer is asking for and taking a moment to help.

Service sucks. Most unfriendly employees. I can only think it sucks to work there.

I pulled through the drive thru, ordered a QPC with fries and a mocha frape. Guy on the headset asked "anything else?" And I asked "hey can y'all make sure my fries are actually salted this time? Last 2 times I came to this location nobody tossed the fries in salt." I wasn't rude or anything, just descriptive, plain and simple. No tone, just information. He ignored what I said and said in a low voice "drive around" I paused for a moment and said "that will be all" just trying to give him the benefit of the doubt of what I thought (knew) he just said. He said something else in an even lower voice and I couldn't hear it at all, totally unlegible. So I drive around. I get to window 1, he doesn't say anything to me and just gets my card, swipes it, I said thank you to him and he looks away, can't even make eye contact. He probably couldn't hear me because he had a headset on one ear and an airpod in the other. My concern with airpods is cross contamination first off, secondly if there's something I the customer need to communicate to him how will he hear me? He's not a really professional employee at all, clearly just doesn't want to work there but maybe he's got bills. Like I know he works in fast food, I did too a long time ago, but he needs to know that it doesn't hurt to just be decently attentive to the customer rather than in his own world. I make it to the second pickup window, this guy is pretty nice, hands me my food, I get everything, and the fries are not salted at all. Not one spec. And no napkins. I will be going to the Wyndham Parkway location on Helena a few blocks away from now on, they're nice to customers, they listen, and there food is so fresh every time.

Stopped here while on a road trip and was very disappointed. Ordered 3 kids meals and the portion sizes were appalling. There were about 5 french fries in each meal. This was not what we had encountered at other places. I will note that we had stopped at another McDonalds a few days prior so I am comparing the portion sizes to that one.

I had a very bad experience the first time I went here but decided to give this location a second shot. I shouldn't have. They were not busy but for some reason my food took nearly 25 mins. Then the guy just looked at me and said they were out of sweet tea and I asked if they were going to make any since it was 6:30 pm and he said I would have to talk to the manager....which I didn't care enough to do but he came over anyway and said they weren't gonna make any unless I wanted to wait 20 extra minutes. They said they had been out of sweet tea for a long time but my sister at my table had just been given a sweet tea and when I said that they told me I was wrong and that wasn't true. Very strange. Turns out they weren't out of tea by the soda machine, which he did in fact tell me was empty. To top it off, they were out of ice. I finally sit down after being there for 30 mins to find out my food order was wrong and the fries were so soggy and cold with no salt. Turns out the other few people in there all had issues with their orders too. Everyone seemed very confused and unhelpful. I don't know how the manager was left in charge because he seemed to be the reason everyone was confused. One of the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. I'll def go out of my way next time to go to another location.
