Terrible experience at carrs Safeway on evergreen in Palmer, Alaska. I am 72 years old, retired, fixed income. I picked up groceries and proceeded to the checkout. I asked the cashier ( Destiny) to help me with the digital deals and the $10.00 off my grocery bill. Clearly she was not interested in helping me. She said the internet was down and there was nothing she could do. I checked my internet net connection and it seemed to be working fine. I just don’t understand the app. Maybe she doesn’t either. I did not receive the savings of the “digital deals” or the 10.00 off my grocery bill of $67.00. Thanks for not helping a senior! Gail H. , Palmer, AK

Do NOT use Carrs Palmer for pickup orders!! My mom placed one for 3-4 pm, she got a text that they started pulling it at 11am. It is now 530 pm and she is STILL SITTING OUTSIDE IN HER CAR WAITING. My sister and I have both experienced the same thing with this location. This is supposed to be CONVENIENT. Why would someone want to sit in their car for 2 1/2 hours?!!!! FYI, we have all had GREAT experiences at FRED MEYER, they are ready at the TOP of the hour you reserved. Palmer Carrs, you suck!!!!

The bakery Without a doubt is the worst. Absolutely no consistency. I have never gone into the Wasilla carrs And have experienced anything close to the incompetence of the Palmer Safeway cars, bakery department I am sure that the steady customers that want to get some donuts or bakery rolls have given up not one time have I walked into cars in Wasilla between seven and eight and have not had fresh bakery rolls, staring me right in the face or donuts at least 50% of the time Palmer will not have anything close to being ready for the customer. I have spoken to A a lot of employees in there from what I can gather the management is the problem if I did not know any better I would think it was. purposely Designed for failure time after time, I have stepped in there to get my product just to have the worker in the bakery. Apologize to me. I see that they have resorted to taking them out of the bags and put them on the shelf from the day before I think maybe the owner who replies to these reviews when somebody has something so great to say to give them a five star review might want to take a look at the reality of that portion of the store and see the damage it has done for customer service. I do not think it’s part of the bakery employees job to continually have to apologize for their product not be an available for the public, but that’s just my humble opinion so in the morning when I go into cars, Safeway in Palmer to get a hot roll or doughnut, I can expect them not to be there on a positive note. Most of the rest of us service in cars is great good hard-working employees. It’s a shame that they should be put on the spot to be embarrassed and trying to answer the question of why their product is not available to the public as you walk through the store, you could see the sushi bar continually working hard to provide their product in the deli but when I get back to the bakery, it’s a disgrace. Have a nice day.

Was kinda dirty in there. But it's a sunny day in Alaska so maybe half the staff called in sick. Other than that it's a carrs. You get groceries there a day items for daily use. Fair prices and usually clean
