They didn't have staff to run stalls, which is fine but, no sign and no one told us and we were sitting for 20 mins to pick up an order. After waiting in line at the drive thru, there were obviously enough staff, standing around doing nothing.
I would probably rate it 5 stars if it was in the lower 48

I visited Sonic Drive-In FBX locations tonight and had a really disappointing experience from start to finish.
When I first pulled into a stall, I pressed the button twice and waited about five minutes before being abrupyly told that due to short staffing the stalls were closed and I needed to go through the drive-thru. Okay that's fine.
While pulling around, I saw what appeared to be a cook standing holding open the back door vaping, and even turning back towards the kitchen while doing so. That’s a serious health code concern and honestly unacceptable for a food establishment.
At the drive-thru, the employee taking my order seemed irritable from the start. I understand being busy and short staffed—I’ve worked in that environment for years myself, but basic customer service still matters. When I got to the window and asked her to repeat my order (since I was spending around $40), she sighed and acted annoyed.
Things only got worse from there. She rushed handing me multiple drinks without giving me time to place them safely or offering a drink carrier, essentially shoving them toward me while I was still trying to manage my card and the first drink. It felt chaotic and careless.
I politely asked to speak to a manager, but that interaction was just as frustrating. I tried to calmly explain that I understand being busy and short staffed ive been there and started to explain the issues, but I was interrupted, met with eye rolling, and dismissive behavior. To which I must admit my tone with the "Manager" did change That level of unprofessionalism, especially from someone in a leadership role, is unacceptable.
To top it off, when I got home (less than 10 minutes away), my order was incorrect and the food was cold.
I completely understand that short staffing can make things difficult, but that doesn’t excuse poor attitudes, unsafe practices, and lack of basic customer service. This store needs serious attention.

Not sure who took our order bc I missed looking at the name tag, but he was great. Asked how our day was going and wished us well when leaving. In today’s fast food environment sometimes you can’t even get an employee to acknowledge you, but the staff here were all friendly and food amazing! This type of service will keep me coming back! Thank uou!!

Fast and great service! Bacon cheeseburger, Onion rings, and a Strawberry lemonade is my favorite!
