I haven’t been in this store for maybe 10 to 12 years and I really wish I had not shopped here today at all. This was truly a confusing and horrible, horrible shopping experience! What’s worse than horrible? It was that! When we entered the door we saw a big notice about abuse will not be tolerated, rude language, aggressive behavior, and several other things mentioned will not be allowed. This was our reintroduction to this store. Upon review we should have simply turned around and left at that point. We were looking for pears and bananas but we could find no pears and made our selection of four really sketchy bananas of the 24 bananas presented for purchase. They had pork shoulder cut into long strips and marked as pork shoulder “ribs”, weird. The artichokes were too ugly to buy and the eggplants were minimally acceptable. The rest of our selections were equally barely adequate. Finally we got to the checkout line and unloaded our cart placing our items on the conveyor belt. The cashier was the most disinterested and depressed person I have seen in several decades and the bagger was an entire study in and of herself. While she was bagging the items all the heavy items were piled on top of each other in single paper bags and she would spastically yell out strange comments in a language I’ve never heard, she seemed to be angry at the food, or the bags, or us, or all three. When we extended the child seat to put a watermelon in it, she reached over and violently slammed it closed while glaring at us and yelled LOUDLY “ TOO HEAVY!!”. Then she slammed the kid seat open again and put the last bag there. When we left we looked at the no abuse, no rudeness notice and tried to figure out why we had just been treated so rudely, and why we had just been yelled at for simply trying to buy our groceries. This mistake will not be repeated in the future! Ever! The one good thing, the corn was good. Buy the corn. The tomatoes were NOT good. Do not buy the tomatoes.
