I have found shopping at the east northern lights carrs store is always difficult unpleasant. The employees do not stock. The employees are not helpful, the manager is not helpful. The shelves are continuously out of cell items. The meat department manager puts out the most raunchy cuts. Especially on pork chops when there's a good cell, he takes the pretty pork chops and cuts them up for his friends and displays disgusting pork chops. They constantly hold stock in the back. Especially during sales and every time I do an online order, it's because there's a special online sale for pick up Every single order I do they pull off just enough of the order to where I lose my coupon and savings. There's been times when they say they were out of stock, and I have went in and walked to the item and found it on the shelf or in the produce or in the meat department. But by then leaving that item off, it eliminated my savings and coupons by charging me a less amount. And the coupon was to spend a certain amount to save money. I do most of my shopping in Eagle River. Now, I urge every customer of this store. Drive the extra few miles to get better quality of product and service. I live in Muldoon. I drive to Eagle River Instead of East Northern Lights. Because it is extremely pleasant. Better quality, less holes and the most helpful employees. The store is clean and there is far less vagrant. Stay away from Eastnorthern lights. It's a better quality of life. The shop in the Eagle River.\n Cars Safeway.

This Carrs is going downhill and downhill fast. It was my favorite store to get groceries from for years and years. But now they have no checkers, no associates, and if you do see someone there, the attitude is not one of wanting to help. Everything is self check out. No checkers before 8, no checkers after 7, And during the day and early evenings it’s typically just one person only so the wait is long. They have decreased grocery selections to where it’s heavy on the generic brands. Sad to see. It’s like they’re trying to force themselves to close down or at least give an excuse to close it down.

One the employees by the name of Rosanne was very disrespectful and it seemed like she was trying to find someone to take it out on, I went to management to let them know the way she is treating customers and they didn’t have much to say when I was simply letting them know I am not going to carrs anymore due to this one particular employees and the way management handled the situation . I have never went out of my way to complain but I wanted to give the fair warning, this is not the place to go.

Sometimes I've got to get lost and take a break from less than satisfactory shopping experiences which have been all too often lately at this neighborhood store of mine. Along with the over the top high prices here, are the weary employees who spend much time chasing shoplifters especially during the few hours before closing time. Very spotty selections of decent quality produce can at times compel a customer to have to buy the organic choices with nary a 1 dollar discount given upon request. Now with the extensive remodel in full swing, I will take myself elsewhere for a bit and perhaps have a better go of it thus gaining a better mood during the walk back to my car. I spend a lot of money here. I'm thinking Fred Meyer south Anchorage will continue to serve my needs quite nicely for the time being and more often than this place will ever be able to do.
