First, the people who work the self checkout lanes are on some weird power trip and are extremely rude to customers who just want to bag their own groceries. Second, on multiple occasions I’ve gotten items that were out of date or rotten when I’ve gotten home like avocados and watermelons. Third, the baggers don’t bag stuff correctly, which is why I like to check myself out. I have had produce smooshed, things that should’ve been in cold bags put in with warm dry foods. And lastly, the H-E-B brand of dog food made all three of my dogs vomit while they were eating it. I thought they had gotten into something in the yard and switched back to the regular food and they were fine. Made the mistake of buying H-E-B brand dog food once again and again all three of my dogs started vomiting. Really not impressed with H-E-B anymore. I would rather drive farther and spend more money than to ever go to another H-E-B again. People said they love H-E-B and I used to be one of those people but today was the last straw. Something simple like wanting to check myself out so that I can bag my own groceries just blew the minds of the employees in there today. I’ve gone through the self check out, part plenty of times and never had an issue. I will just take my $300 a week somewhere else. The employees at this location, 100% do not care about their customers that they have come in the store. Walmart employees are nicer than the ones at this H-E-B. Smh

I shop weekly at the Willis HEB. Today I was yet again upset by a policy that I was unaware of...A couple of months ago I purchased seafood and left a note in the curbside app that it be steamed with Cajun seasoning. I was called right before my pickup time to be told that the seafood could not be steamed because there is no policy for that. I had to come inside the store with the paid for merchandise and have it steamed. I was then told that this was the process for future visits. I proceeded with this process today only to be told by the male manager at I the seafood counter that I can't purchase Seafood through curbside then bring it inside the store to be steamed. Exactly the opposite of what I was told previously. He then informed me that there is no "steaming code" for seafood that is purchased from Curbside. So it's not that the food wasn't purchased from HEB , it's where I picked up the food from that's an issue ? I was then told that I would have to go to customer service , return the seafood that I purchased, repurchase the seafood, then get it steamed. What a ridiculous process to put your customers through. I personally do not believe that the onus should fall on the customer because there's no "steam code". Once I brought in the purchased items I should have been accommodated instead of being told that I can't bring in food that was purchased through curbside to get steamed inside because of a steam code. I use Curbside all the time due to my mild agorophobia. The curbside service helps minimize the anxiety of going inside the store. I left very disappointed.

Usually very happy with the cheaper sushi options, but had a few at the end that were void of avocado. First time this has happened. Otherwise, tightly rolled, fresh fish & rice, as well as wonderful staff. Emphasis on WONDERFUL STAFF. I go here as opposed to Kroger.

Not sure about which HEB you are referencing. All HEB stores are good. Some clerk in the bulk foods behaves as a Food Nazi, but just being overprotective as Karen would. Willis, Tx.

I’m heartbroken to give this place only 3 stars, but it’s my happy place and one of the top 3 Texas icons. Everything an HEB is, except for some of the management! They’re horrible, stuck-up, and rigid. For example, I bought a summer pool for $25. It got destroyed instantly and deflated. I threw it away and said, “Well, let me go and ask for a refund or a new one.” I took the box with everything except the pool. We were grilling, and I threw it in the garbage with everything else. This lady at customer service was dying on this hill for $25 bucks. Again, for $25, she was not budging at all. Another time I took over 25 milk glass bottles for return. I always bring them in diaper boxes for easy transport. I put them in their cart. This guy was again hell-bent on me putting each milk glass bottle on the counter for him to count. Dude, I got them there and in a box for you as well. It would have taken him less than 45 seconds (I hope) to get this done without pushing back at a customer who spends over $4k a month in HEB alone. Do better with management. Other employees like cashiers Curbie and Shopper are so nice and friendly. Maybe lead by example.
