  My family and I decided to come for dinner tonight and I have to say that this saltgrass is spot on! From the great food to the rustic and charming atmosphere, we had a wonderful time. However, I do have to say that it was our service that made this location next level!! Our server Xavier did a fantastic job, he was extremely attentive, gave us great recommendations, our glasses were always cold, never empty, and our food came out correctly and timely. Xavier was such a sweat heart, and definitely made our experience a 10/10! We will definitely be back and requesting him:)

  I cannot say enough good things about our server Matt B!! Had party of 10 which included 2 senior citizen women, 1 toddler, an infant and a partridge in a pear tree. Matt took care of everyone with speed, precision and care! He gave us Vic and Anthony caliber service here at our local Saltgrass. I will be returning here and I hope to be served by him again!

  4-18-26 Savannah was awesome. She was very positive to our needs (wife ordered something not quite on the menu) She was a pleasure to deal with and will ask for her next time I come back to this location. Food was amazing as usual.

  Our family of 16 had a fantastic lunch here. The food was delicious across the board, and everything came out hot and timely despite our large group. The staff truly made the experience stand out, especially Javon and Eian. Their service was outstanding. They were courteous, attentive, and incredibly helpful, making sure everyone had what they needed without ever feeling rushed. We really appreciated how smoothly they handled such a big table. We will definitely be back.

  Around 12:00PM my husband and I have been working 14-hour shifts at a nearby oil refining facility and we were really craving a good steak in the area. Since we are working nightshift right now, we had a very tight window to eat before heading back to our hotel to get ready for work. When we arrived at Saltgrass, the host seated us right in the center of the restaurant, yet we watched waiters and waitresses pass us for 15 minutes straight without anyone offering to help. It got to the point where I actually had to call the restaurant from my cell phone while sitting at the table to bring it to their attention. It was quite embarrassing. The hostess was super sweet when she answered and said she would walk toward us so I could wave her down and show her where we were. She brought over a manager (the lady with the tattoos) who seemed annoyed that we were even complaining. It felt like she thought we were looking for freebies, which couldn't have been further from the truth; we were just in a rush to eat to get back to our hotel and get ready to go back to work. She tried to call a server over but I asked to be completely reseated since the original servers in that area had paid us no mind. They moved us toward the windows and assigned us a new waiter, but the experience didn't get much better. We were very hungry and were ordering large portions with the intention of taking some for lunch that night, but the waiter would widen his eyes and make us feel uncomfortable every time I added to our order. When we got our salad, I asked for blue cheese and never got it. When our steaks finally arrived, my husband asked for A1 sauce and never got it either. It wasn't until the end of the meal when I was standing up to pay the bill that the waiter finally mentioned the sauce and apologized. I usually tip $50 to $100 on a $200 bill, but I only left $25 after such an awful experience. I left very disappointed in this location. I have never had this problem any Saltgrass in Austin. We weren't being problematic just wanted to enjoy a good lunch.
