  I was served by Taty, who is an amazing person. I wasn't sure what to order, so I let her choose for me. I had the opportunity to try an incredible brisket with mac and cheese, creamed corn, and the house pickles. It was extremely flavorful. For dessert, Taty suggested the apple pie with vanilla ice cream, and it was divine. The quality of the ingredients and the food preparation would definitely make me come back to Houston, but the service is what really blew me away. The food is worth the trip, but the hospitality is the real standout.

  Typically we love coming here, but our last visit was horrible. They sat us at a booth by the bar. The booth was in a corner behind a table. Our waiter, a white guy with glasses, was soooo slow. He hardly came to check on us. My corn and macaroni portions sucked, I had maybe 4 teaspoons of corn in that bowl and maybe 4 bites of macaroni. The macaroni was cold and they crunch a ritz cracker on top of it, save the cracker it’s not good. Chicken was good and hot and the roll but thats about it. We had to go find another waiter to check us out because our waiter just went MIA. Do better please.

  That was genuinely the best bbq I have ever had!! Ive been in the Houston area for over 2 years already and haven’t a bbq place that wowed me. But this place is a gem truly! My bf and I got the deviled eggs with queso for appetizers, then I got the pork ribs with pork belly as my entree. So so so so juicy with great flavor! I was awe when I saw the ginormous portions for only $21. My plate could’ve feed 2 people comfortably. I got mashed potatoes with mac and cheese for my sides and it was made phenomenally! Now… now that peach cobbler was actually the best thing I’ve put in my stomach. I would recommend everyone and their momma to come this restaurant at least once and with an empty stomach. Outer worldly food and exceptional service. Hunter was our server and kind and helpful with helping us navigate the menu. 10/10!

  Our experience with this barbecue place was big disappointment. The food was not the best. The waitress could not handle minor things; even questions and referred everything to the manager. Pappas Barbecue and NOT this place has a better quality of meat, snd service. Fatty, thick not cook enough pork ribs, deviled eggs advertised with pork belly with too much mayo in eggs almost watery with a tiny pinch of pork belly and if not careful will miss it all together. Unseasoned tasteless coleslaw, crunchy carrots not worth the time of eating and waitress asking overly grown folks; that in no way looked 19 or 20 for ID. Why is she in a job where she has no farsight and just common sense. DON’T WORRY I WON’T BE BACK!!!

  I visited Pappas Delta Blues Smokehouse today celebrating my auntie’s birthday. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, perfect for a family gathering. It does get pretty busy, but that just shows how popular the place is. The service was solid. Even with the crowd, the staff stayed attentive and kept things moving smoothly, which I really appreciated, especially for a special occasion. Everyone at the table ordered something different off the menu, and it was nice being able to see (and taste) a variety of dishes. I personally had the smoked chicken with pork and beans, macaroni and cheese with crackers crumbled on it. Overall, everything was good and satisfying. The sides were definitely amazing. The pork and beans had a rich, smoky flavor, and the mac and cheese with the crackers was creamy and comforting. The smoked chicken was juicy (chefs kiss) tender and cooked well, though I do feel like it could’ve been seasoned just a little more to really take it to the next level. All in all, it was a great time with good food, good vibes, and solid service. I’d definitely come back.
