While the price still forces me to believe they're the best around , these days I'm starting to think my mind has been changed... The service was not bad, however it was not great. They had live music that was so loud we could hardly hear one another at our table..the waiter was able to rub off his errors by being cute and attentive, and of course corrected my bill. I always thought Pappasitos was the best Mexican food, seems things are starting to blend in with all the competition.. Very expensive for casual Mexican dining

Restaurant was full and load, but the fajitas were amazing. Our waitress was fantastic. We had a family fajitas for 6 adults. There was food left over to take home. My wife and I agree this is the best Fajitas in Houston. Can't speak for the rest of the menu yet. Restaurant was very well kept in my opinion. We sat in the middle of the dining area but there was really great panoramic window seating available.

Service was good, but slow. Once contact was made, things got better, but sitting at the bar is always a risk. Atmosphere was ....I hate this phrase but,....same ol, same ol....and it was about 45 degrees tonight and miserable everytime the front door opened. I got an order to-go, and when I got it home.....it looked like an Old El Paso tv dinner. The food was ok, but I don't know, if after close to 30 years of dining there , if I will ever go back. 2 large margaritas, small queso, 2 sides of tortillas and the 3 chese enchilada dinner was $70 before tip. I thought the large margarita price was a little high. I know food cost are high. It is what it is....

Papasitos hold a special place in my heart. For a while I was dating 2 men who didn’t know about each other. All three of us loved Papasitos. I’d sit at the bar one night with boyfriend #1 and sometimes the very next night I’d be back sitting at the bar with boyfriend #2. This went on for 2 years. Through it all, the bartenders were absolute pros. Every time I’d sit down, a bartender would greet us, look right at me and say “welcome back” with a smile. Top notch service, complete discretion, and never once did they rat me out. I highly recommend dining here- the food is consistently delicious and the customer service is unparalleled! 5 stars!

Review: Pappasito’s on Gulf Freeway – 12/11/25, 6:30 PM My family of four had one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve ever had at any Pappasito’s location. We arrived at 6:30 PM and were seated promptly. Our server greeted us right away, brought our drinks (three teas and a water), and we ordered queso and chips, which arrived in a reasonable amount of time. After that, everything went downhill. We waited over 30 minutes without any update on our entrées. Meanwhile, we watched a table that was seated at least 10 minutes after us receive their food before we did. The restaurant was not busy, and there were no large parties, so it was clear something had gone wrong. What made the situation worse was the lack of communication. Our server didn’t check in for a long stretch, and although we saw a manager visit another table to apologize for their wait, he never approached us. We didn’t see him again until my husband walked over to the bar area—where several staff members were standing around—to ask whether our food had even been made. At that point, he told them that if the food was ready, we would take it to go, and if not, we wanted to cancel the order altogether. A few minutes later, the manager handed my husband a zeroed-out bill. No apology, no explanation, no acknowledgment that we had two hungry, frustrated children who had been waiting far too long. This was, by far, our worst visit to any Pappasito’s. With so many Tex-Mex options in Houston, it’s hard to imagine returning to this location after an experience like this.
