I recently visited On The Border and left pretty disappointed. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all — maybe four or five tables total — but the waitress came up and explained that they had been bought out, and things had changed. She had stated that the fajita meat went from frozen to serve to made inhouse, the salsa went from 42 ingredients to just 6 and that the chips went from yellow corn to white corm. Unfortunately, that change really showed. Service was slow, and it took quite a while just to get drinks, chips and salsa and even longer for our meals to arrive. We asked for the ticket and EVERY time she came to the table she had another tables food or drinks. It was very “unpersonal”. The food didn’t make up for the wait, either. The fajitas arrived warm but the meat looked so gross, almost that the chicken being served was frozen and they just threw it on the grill and the seasoning tasted flat and completely different. Even the chips and salsa, which are usually reliable, came out bland and a little stale. The chips were see through almost as if the restaurant went CHEAP! The enchiladas seemed like they had also changed, the tortillas they wrap the enchiladas in was paper thin and the taste was almost unbearable. For the prices they charge, I expected much better quality and freshness. Overall, the experience just didn’t feel worth it. Between the slow service and the underwhelming food, I left feeling like this meal simply missed the mark. I hope the restaurant improves, but based on this visit, I wouldn’t rush back and possible might not ever go back to an On the Border which we used to LOVE.

What a horrible experience. I saw an entire restaurant full of people ready to walk out. Everyone had to wait at least an hour for their food. The manager could not get around to apologizing to every table. The service was really bad. The waitress could not get anything correct. There was six of us and she brought chips and four bowls of salsa. We ordered queso and she brought it with only five bowls. I don't think she had a clue as to how bad the entire situation was. We saw a few people we knew and they all had the same bas experience. Cross this place off your list if you are looking for a restaurant in Weatherford

Wasn't anything I'd go back for. Service was very very slow considering it was lunch and the place was pretty empty. I will say the server was very nice and did his best.

Been coming here for years as it kind of declined in quality. But we came for, chips & salsa, and drinks! Started to get better and we started eating the food again. In the past two weeks since the Pappas change we've ran here 3 times for the Carne Asada with that delicious butter sauce. The beef quality is dang near Uncle Julios. Do yourself a favor, Carne Asada and add on tortillas and make your fajita fantasy come true. Drizzle on that butter sauce you filthy heathen. Mmm.

This location is always slow but this past Sunday 10/26 was the worst yet! The poor server had so many tables she was doing her best. I blame management she told us the whole restaurant was under staffed. Not sure if it's poor scheduling or call outs. It took 15 minutes just to get our check so we could leave. You need to do better we wasn't the only table not happy.
