I haven’t been to OTB and at least three years and before that it was probably five and I swear I would never go back. I heard OTB was recently purchased, and they are revamping their menu and making changes, so I thought I would try it out. I am so happy I did. The food was hot. It was fresh. It tasted so good, and their margaritas are fantastic.

Stopped going here for a while because they were starting to decline rapidly. Looks like new management is turning it around . Much better experience.

It's Pappasito's lite! So glad they bought OTB. Food and service were good! So glad to have them on our town so I don't have to go to fort Worth for my fix.

We had an AMAZING experience at On The Border today. Our server Amanda was absolutely incredible. Our drinks and chips were never empty and she was so sweet, attentive, and on top of everything the entire time.
Kalea was also wonderful. She wasn’t our server but still checked on us, chatted with us for a moment, and made us feel so welcome while never missing a beat with her own tables. You could tell she truly cared about doing her job well.
What really stood out was the whole team. I have never seen so many employees walk with such purpose. Every single person was working hard and still smiling while doing it. The energy, teamwork, and positivity were unmatched.
Hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a while!! We will absolutely be back

Rating: ⭐⭐ (2/5)
(5 stars for service, 0 stars for the kitchen)
I am writing this with a heavy heart as a 20-year loyal patron of On The Border. Our latest visit was a jarring study in contrasts: world-class service overshadowed by a complete collapse in food quality.
The Service (The 5-Star Experience)
Our server, Zoee, was absolutely AMAZING. She was polite, attentive, and incredibly prompt. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated to guest satisfaction, and she is truly the only reason this review isn't a one-star.
The Food (The Heartbreak)
Since the Pappasitos takeover, the decline of this brand has been "deplorable." We’ve watched our local spots close, and now the food at the remaining locations has become substandard and overpriced.
The Salsa: Calling this "salsa" is an insult to Texas. It is bland and lifeless; honestly, Taco Casa has better salsa with more heat.
The Menu: The "fajita" chicken salad was nothing more than a run-of-the-mill cafeteria grilled chicken salad. No grilled onions, no fajita seasoning, and zero soul.
The Flavor: This is Texas—we expect Southwest spice, not the bland, uninspired profiles you find in the North.
The Verdict
The new menu is missing the Texas classics that made us fans for two decades, and the prices have been inflated while the quality has plummeted. It is painful to walk away from a 20-year tradition, but after this experience, this was likely our final visit to an On The Border. The food is simply not worth the price anymore.
