Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
While many customers praised the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, there were numerous complaints about rude service and order inaccuracies.
Food Freshness
Several reviews highlighted issues with food being served cold or stale, with inconsistent quality reported across visits.
Management
The performance of management received mixed feedback; some customers appreciated the efforts of specific managers, while others criticized their handling of issues.
Cleanliness
Multiple reviews pointed out unsanitary conditions in the dining area and bathrooms, which detracted from the overall experience.
Order Accuracy
A recurring theme was the frequent mistakes in orders, leading to customer frustration and disappointment.

I’ve always enjoyed going to this Whataburger better than all the others because the manager’s here pitching and to help staff members my only issue is one or two of the young teenagers boys who don’t know the meaning of customer service. Now, for all the other employees, very kind, courteous, and they have good customer service.

They were jam packed inside and still were able to offer great drive thru service. The young man that took my order was very friendly and my food was hot, fresh and delicious. Go get you a Whataburger on Denton Hwy in Watagua!

I got a chicken strip kids meal. Went through the drive thru. One car in front of me. I got to the window the young men was very nice smile and greeted me. After I paid he asked if I could pull forward they waiting on fries. I said sure. I got my order and on my way to work. Why the fries was hot and fresh but the strips was cold and old. That piss me off. Why not push to give out hot fresh food. They had a good amount of people in there to not be serving no so fresh food. I could have understood if they were short staffed. They were talking and standing around. I paid almost $9.00 to eat fries and a drink

My family and I stopped by Whataburger on 12/13/2025, and I have to say it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a while. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and my order came out quickly. We love visiting Whataburger whenever we’re in town. During this visit, we even had the chance to meet the store owner, Mina, who was very helpful and welcoming

Also, in case you order off the app, don’t forget to add cheese to the burger like I did LOL
