  We stopped on a road trip to eat something different than the usual chains. This place had great reviews, and it loved up to them! The decor is comfortable with an island flair. Bathrooms were very clean and smelled good. The friendly owner greeted us and patiently went over the menu. We shared patties to start and then had jerk chicken, jerk fries, and jerk chicken breast. Everything was made fresh and flavorful! The meals came with delicious vegetables, rice with beans, and plantains. We shared the homemade fresh sorrel-ginger and pineapple-ginger drinks which were outstanding!! We also enjoyed some of the bottled Jamaican sodas, especially the green Ting. Overall, we loved all of it, and we will definitely be back to enjoy this gem!

  I am in Waco for work and wanted to try something new, so when I saw a Jamaican place I was super excited since I’ve never eaten it before. I’m really happy I stopped in here, the food is great and the people working here are very nice! I got the oxtail entrée that comes w plantains, veggie, and the coconut rice and beans, and I got my meal extra spicy. The oxtail is fall off the bone and everything has so many great spices, the flavor is great! The guy at the front was also really nice, since after I paid he found out that they were still making the rum cake, so I got the rum pudding instead and he threw in a slice of the carrot cake, both of which are awesome as well!

  This was our first time to eat Jamaican food and it did not disappoint! My husband and I were in town on business and stopped in this place. I’m so glad we did! We both got the jerk chicken. It was delicious! My husband said he could eat a bucket full of the plantains! Ha! The fresh coconut water is a must! The staff was amazing and the owner spoke to us at length about his origins and other topics throughout our meal. We learned that the owner’s mother is the head chef! What a marvelous story! We really enjoy anytime we go to a restaurant and get to meet and speak with the owner personally. This time was better than anytime before when this has happened for us! When we returned to our hotel, the desk clerk asked, “what smells so good”? It was my leftovers! I was overjoyed that I was able to advertise for this place right away!

  Stopped by this beautiful place for a quick bite on our drive from Dallas to Austin, and we are so glad we did! This place is clean, spacious, well maintained and serves up some delicious, authentic Jamaican food. We ordered the Curried chicken and Curried beef patties along with some fried plantains and then some Black cake for dessert. Absolutely loved the patties - they were straight out of the oven, hot and fresh and bursting with flavor. The owner recommended the black cake - a holiday style cake with fruits and rum, and a rich flavor. Friendly owner, great food and clean, pleasant ambiance. Definitely visit this little gem and enjoy the food!

  I got the jerk chicken with the curry, vegetables. The food is freaking outstanding! It's as simple as that. It's very rare that I find a restaurant that's really this good in waco. Do not take my word for go. Get some yourself.And then when you have figured out, I am absolutely right.Put a review yourself! The service I couldn't care less about all I care about is food! With that said the service was outstanding also. I really wish we had more restaurants like this. That knew what they were doing. Because they do! I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. And that was one of the cleanest bathrooms, i've been in in a very long time. I like their bathroom more than I like mine... It says a lot about with the kitchen's probably like when they have a bathroom that is that clean. You guys are doing a great job. Please do not stop! The food is so good that I actually took it home with me And I tried to call them and tell them. They are already closed. Apparently I will be bugging em and telling them that they are great tomorrow.
